Remote Junior iOS Engineer Booking

Our team of 800 employees counts over 50 nationalities and is spread across our 5 global offices, 30% working fully remotely.\n\n\nYour Mission\nWe are looking for an iOS Engineer to join our Booking team at BlaBlaCar. Their mission is to optimise our multimodal (carpool, bus, and very soon train supplies) booking, checkout and post purchase experience in many countries.\n\n\nAs an iOS Engineer, your role will be to work on technical challenges and product feature developments from early-stage conception, to development, testing strategy, deployment in the App Store and monitoring of new releases. \n\n\nYou will be reporting to Clothilde, Engineering Manager of the squad, and working with a team of 5 other frontend engineers (1 iOS, 2 Android & 2 SPA). \n\n\nYour responsibilities \nIn this role, you will mainly: \n• Design, architect and develop features for the BlaBlaCar applications\n• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to help shape the features that you will ship\n• Be responsible of the quality of the application, and contribute at improving it\n• Share your knowledge in the team: provide documentation on your work, enforce good practices and processes, communicate on changes\n\n\nYour qualifications\n• First experience in building iOS apps in Swift with a strong engineering culture\n• Experience with MVVM architecture, Coordinator pattern and ideally modularisation\n• Familiar with RESTful API, unit tests with XCTest framework, RxSwift or any other reactive programming framework (e.g: Combine)\n• Full working proficiency in English\n• Fit with our BlaBlaPrinciples\n• Thriving in a collaborative, fast-growing and innovative environment\n• Ability to take ownership, aligned with business priorities \n\n\nWhat we have to offer\n• Full remote possible in the country of the role (+ access to BlaBlaCar coworking spaces in Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon, Nantes and Sophia Antipolis)\n• 4 additional weeks parental leave 100% paid\n• Financial support for home office equipment\n• Relocation package and visa support\n• Free unlimited carpooling & bus rides\n• Employee Stock Ownership plan\n• 25 days holiday per year + RTT\n• Local meal plan policies (Swile card in France)\n• 50% transportation paid in France (Forfait Mobilité Durable)\n• Mental health support through Moka.care\n\n\nInterested in joining the ride?\n• a 45-min video-call with Benjamin, Talent Acquisition Manager, to get to know you, understand your career expectations and answer your questions\n• a 45-min video-call with Clothilde, your future manager to discuss your experience and share more details about the team\n• a fully remote exercise to evaluate your technical skills followed by a 90-min video-call with 2 iOS Engineers to discuss about your exercise \n• a 30-min video-call with Gilles, VP Engineering Demand, for vision fit and rounding off the process\n\n\nOur hiring process lasts on average 25-30 days, offers usually come within 48 hours.\n\n\nNot sure yet?
