Weโre changing how people move by live-mapping the world.\nWhat Youโll Do\n\n\nOwn our month-end, quarter-end and annual general ledger close processes including preparation/review of journal entries, supporting documentation and account reconciliations\n\nFacilitate the global accounting close process and consolidation of worldwide entities\n\nManage day-to-day accounting operations related to the close process, accounts payable, procurement, treasury, and payroll\n\nImplement process improvements to automate manual workflows and drive efficiencies to reduce the time to close while ensuring accuracy of financial information\n\nAnalyze fluctuations in the Company's balance sheet and income statement and present explanations for material variances\n\nPartner cross-functionally with all internal teams at Mapbox in order to understand and advise on business transactions and the related accounting impact\n\nAssess technical accounting issues for appropriate financial treatment; prepare accounting memos as needed \n\nParticipate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over all transactions and reporting\n\nProvide support for financial statement audit and tax compliance reporting\n\nCoach and mentor a team of high performing accountants \n\nSupport the Finance & Accounting team with ad hoc projects as needed\n\n\n\nWhat We Believe are Important Traits for This Role\n\n\n5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
