\nYou will be the first dedicated software tester to join a team of 3 developers. You excel at automating testing, in particular UI testing, as this will be your main focus. As you are starting from scratch, you will be able to choose and use the latest tools and technologies. You will have the opportunity to shape the QA process. You will work as part of the development team to ensure comprehensive testing is performed for all new features, enhancements and fixes, as well as improving the existing tests and processes (currently formed of unit tests, integration tests and manual testing). You will be integral to maintaining software quality. You will also contribute towards automating our build processes (continuous integration, automated build...) and our release process. You will take part in client support to increase your domain knowledge and help you think as an end user. You need good attention to detail and good UX skills (design/usability).\n\nYour responsibilities will include most of the following:\n\n\n* Automation of UI testing for our two web sites\n\n* Be good at identifying use cases, but even better at automating them\n\n* Creating repeatable tests\n\n* Web API testing\n\n* Security testing (best practices, penetration tests)\n\n* Test compliance of SOC controls\n\n* Identifying and recording bugs, verifying fixes.\n\n* Performance-based analysis, proactive measurement or monitoring to detect decrease over time\n\n* Suggest UX improvement\n\n* Provide support to clients\n\n* Technical writing, help pages\n\n* Liaise with developers to maintain test data\n\n* Cross-browser testing is a medium term goal, but not initially important \n\n\n\n\nThe current technology stack is as follow. An understanding of any of these technologies is a plus.\n\n\n* C#\n\n* Web Forms/ASP.Net, Ajax, jQuery (currently being migrated)\n\n* Web API, Vue.js (new architecture, javascript heavy)\n\n* AWS Lambda and API Gateway\n\n* Windows with IIS\n\n* SQL (MS SQL for one product and MySQL/Aurora for the other)\n\n* Git source control\n\n\n\n\nYou have at least three years commercial experience as a test engineer. Prior financial services experience is not required and we welcome applicants from any industry. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.\n\nYou will work from home, with daily video calls with the rest of the team and occasional face-to-face meetings. You will liaise with developers and management on a daily basis, and with clients as required. You will be responsible for implementing new front end code, improving and maintaining existing functionality. You will also work with the product design team to improve and maintain our custom built UI Library. The next great Formstacker will also work with the Development department to assure a smooth hand-off of assets for implementation, work with both the Product Design and Development teams to implement their designs in an agile workflow environment and effectively manage their time across multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven, team environment.\n\n\n\n\n\nWho You Are:\n\n\nYou enjoy working in a collaborative environment that values critical & constructive discussions about design and development.
