\nJob Description\n\nLilac Solutions is seeking an experienced analyst to support the development and financing of its global lithium extraction projects.   The role allows for the applicant the opportunity to learn the in depth the intricacies of direct lithium extraction using Lilac’s ion exchange technology and the key financial drivers and metrics for projects as well as financing instruments utilized for these types of projects.  The position will be the primary analytical and modeling lead for Lilac Solutions global project development business.  The position will contribute to the overall strategy of the company to both develop lithium projects and sell our proprietary ion exchange technology to project operators.  This role will work hand-in-hand with the head of capital markets and project finance and often directly with the senior management team.  Open to remote or local candidates.\n\nJob Responsibilities \n\n\nSupport financial transactions including both debt and equity raises as well as M&A activities, though analytical support, report preparation and process assistance. \n\nParticipate in meetings with external parties including lenders, equity providers and other market participants. \n\nCollaborate with multi-disciplinary team across Lilac’s business including engineers, developers, project managers, and finance team. \n\nIdentify and quantify key investment drivers and perform sensitivities. \n\nAnalyze market risk factors and trends  \n\nPerform general research duties and statistical analysis \n\nSupport the preparation of investment memorandums and client facing documents \n\nAssist in the communications with Lilac customers \n\n\n\n\nCompensation:\n\n\n* 3-5 years' experience as a Business Development Analyst, Data Analyst or comparable role\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in economics or engineering\n\n* Experience in analyzing business cases\n\n* Knowledge of metals and commodity markets\n\n*  Ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines\n\n* Excellent communication skills\n\n* Highly organized with sharp attention to detail\n\n*  Ability to help set and maintain ambitious goals for company and support execution\n\n* US work permit\n\n*  Excited to work in a growth-stage climate tech company achieving global scale at a rapid pace\n\n\n\n\nCandidate Qualifications \n\n\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related area combined with at least 2-4 years of banking, project finance, corporate finance, or M&A experience within a financial firm, energy or resource company.  \n\nExceptional analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and mathematical modelling techniques  \n\nStrong project modeling skills including ability to create excel macros to solve debt sizing and other common project finance challenges. \n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas succinctly, effectively, and fluently. \n\nAbility to work with others to meet deadlines, effective at engagement and driving results towards common corporate goals  \n\nAbility to synthesize data and complex concepts into informed recommendations and concise and clear presentations  \n\nMust be thorough, thoughtful, and able to perform well under pressure  \n\n\n\n\nCompensation\n\n\n* Salary range: $85-$120K annually (commensurate with experience & location)\n\nStock options \n\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance \n\nLong-term disability insurance \n\n401k with pre- and post-tax investing options \n\nFlexible Paid Time Off Policy \n\nEight weeks of Paid Parental Leave \n\nOnsite Gym and Daily Catered Lunch for Oakland Employees \n\nMonthly phone stipend \n\nPrivate secured parking with EV charging stations \n\n\n\n\n \n\nEEO Statement\n\nLilac Solutions is committed to providing a professional work environment free from discrimination and harassment, including discrimination and harassment based on a protected category, and an environment free from retaliation for participating in any protected activity.  Lilac Solutions is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Finance and Non Tech jobs that are similar:\n\n $65,000 — $111,250/year\n
