This person would be part of a newly established agile software development team to tackle a number of exciting leading-edge software solutions which have a significant and direct business impact. We will be building web and mobile applications, deploying to AWS, with automated testing and deployment, using modern best-of-breed web technologies. This role is ideally suited to a candidate who has a solid track record of delivering web-based applications in any language, but ideally in NodeJS with solid experience with SQL, testing, and other supporting technologies.\n\nThe ideal candidate will bring in a can-do attitude, an interest in exploring state-of-the-art technologies, and a willingness to share knowledge and improvement ideas while being effective in supporting junior team members.\n\n\nLocation: Berlin, London or remote. Remote workers must be able to travel regularly to London or Berlin.\n\nReporting to: Lead Developer.\n\n\nMain Tasks: \n\n\n* Analyzing requirements\n\n* Planning, designing, and coding \n\n* Testing and documenting\n\n* Contributing to SW architecture discussions\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJob requirements\n\n\nProfiles we are seeking\n\n\n* Experience in developing browser-based business systems\n\n* Strong knowledge of Javascript\n\n* Good knowledge of SQL\n\n* Experience in developing in NodeJS, Ruby on Rails or Java (or similar)\n\n* Experience in developing in React\n\n* A willingness to work in whatever language is appropriate for the project\n\n* Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with both stakeholders, analysts, developers, and other team members in writing and in person\n\n* Familiarity with an iterative approach to development, e.g. Agile\n\n* Strong English language skills\n\n* Understand the principles of TDD, use of the unit, and integration testing\n\n* Comfortable using Git\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ideal candidate will also:\n\n\n* Have experience in designing for and deploying to cloud-based services, e.g. AWS, Azure or Google\n\n* Have experience of automated testing, including functional/integration/UAT\n\n* Have some knowledge of maintaining CI/CD Pipelines\n\n* Understand the concepts of "CAP Theorem", "Eventual Consistency", a fundamental understanding of Design Patterns is a plus\n\n* Have an interest or experience in AI, especially in machine learning and NLP fields\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\n\n\n* \nPublic transportation discount\n\n\n* \nPartially refunded lunches\n\n\n* \nUrban Sports Club discount\n\n\n* \nGerman classes\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n* \nGerman classes\n\n\n\n\n\nApply for this job\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
