**Overview Of Role:ย **\nWe're a fully remote web development agency looking for a contract Front-end Engineer. This position should have an attention to detail and love to develop interactive and engaging web experiences. We are relentless in our pursuit of the very best solution for each individual client and work tirelessly until the desired results are achieved.\n\nAs a team, we invest ourselves fully in meeting our clientโs goals as if they were our own because when they succeed, we do too.ย \n\n\n**Responsibilities:**\n\n**Execute** - Be able to take visual designs in sketch and written specifications and turn those into semantic html/css/js that is reusable, scalable, performant, accessible and work on all major browsers\n\n**Make it move** - We love to create experiences on our pages. We leverage CSS and JavaScript animation to make our pages come alive\n\n**Components** - Be able to create reusable Gutenberg blocks that allow clients and product team to enter content and customize the components.\nReuse - Develop a reusable component/block library for WordPress that is reusable across client projects\n\n**Requirements:**\n* 2+ years of experience as a front-end developer.\n* Strong understanding of HTML and CSS including cross-browser compatibility and performance.\n* Ability to write modern and performant JavaScript using latest technologies.\n* We expect you to know your way around git and Github\n* Experience with front-end building tools (such as Webpack).\n* Experience working remotely.\n* Comfortable interpreting designs and/or specifications and thinking through the best approach to adapting it to code.\n* A solid understanding of good UX and UI practices for websites.\n* Familiarity with Sketch and Adobe XD.\n* Experience with WordPress and Gutenberg with building out custom blocks.\n* Experience working with component systems.\n* Estimating work for a project and taking specs and turning into clearly defined, executable tasks.\n\n**Nice to haves:**\n* Experience with React\n* Experience with Node.js\n* Experience with Shopify\n* Understanding of WCAG accessibility compliance.
