Our survey platform is providing capabilities to create and collect online surveys and analyse and share survey data. The survey platform can be used to conduct simple questionnaires with just a couple of questions or advanced assessments with conditionals and quota management.
We work closely with our community and partner network to co-create, fix bugs, translate, and share knowledge. You will join our creative team and get involved in building the worldโs #1 open-source survey platform.
As the Senior Engineer, you will have a key position in our Survey Platform Development team. ย You will help build a versatile, open-source survey tool for newcomers and professionals. So, they can get the freshest insights - as easy as squeezing a lime. Well, for the latter โeasyโ part we could really use your help.
This will be your challenge:
You will help set the standard for LimeSurvey Dev team and guide and motivate others
You will discuss and implement new features with business side, manage their expectations, and refine, estimate work with the team in line with our product roadmap
You will help identify and manage technical dept
You will help onboard new team members while mentoring and guiding others in their career path
You will closely work together with our product owner and architect
ย You are responsible for the code you write
You take ownership of your code in line with our LimeSurvey coding guidelines
You help consult with specific expertise you have on e.g., architecture, design or performance
Your code will be showcased to the rest of the world, since weโre opensource
This is you:
You have worked on B2B, SaaS or Dev Tools
You have solid programming skills and master PHP frameworks, Yii would be great but is always learnable
You foster relationships with your team and have great communication skills + a getting things done mentality
You understand testing frameworks and methodologies.
You understand technologies supporting the LimeSurvey ecosystem
You are a motivator and get the best out of yourself and automatically people around you
You are an active contributor to opensource projects (or will be in the future ;-))

Join our team of developers who thrive in a show and tell environment, who aren’t afraid of frequent demos, commits and collaboration meetings, and who enjoy success because they value and ask for iterative feedback; who are allowed to take creative risks, and who have a voice in what the product is, and will become.\n\nNOTE: This is a remote position but will require the first 3 months to be on-site in our Atlanta, GA office at least part of the time while we dive into building a new product from the ground up with you as part of our core development team.\n\nTechnical skills we are looking for:\n\n\n* Strong Angular JS experience and general OOP knowledge\n\n* You've built angular directives beyond just wrapping a jquery plugin around an element and you know what the difference is between a factory, service and provider. \n\n* Design chops would be nice, we're using Zurb Foundation but if you've used Bootstrap that's fine\n\n* Experience with Grunt would be great, we use in our build process to mix up our script files, run unit tests and compile our SASS stylesheetss\n\n* E2E testing on Protractor is a nice to have \n\n* RequireJS - You're at least familiar with it or at best you love it or hate it and can explain why.\n\n* Consuming JSON web services in angular, understand when to cache\n\n* Angular routing\n\n\n\n\nYou get bonus points for knowledge of any of these:\n\n\n* Highcharts, d3.js, knockout\n\n* ASP.net MVC5 or WebAPI2\n\n* Graphic design\n\n* Any open source projects you contribute to or products you built you can show us\n\n* Agile development, we use Jira/Stash/Bamboo for a streamlined dev/CI process\n\n* Knowledge of any modern server-side web service development \n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
