We are gaining traction in the market and searching for the right person to be key part of our next phase of growth.\n\nDo you want to take our quick coding challenge?  Message [email protected] for all the details. \n\nResponsibilities  \n\n\n* Play a part in every stage of the development life-cycle including planning, implementation, testing, and rollout.\n\n* Report directly to C-level and work alongside our current Lead Developer who has developed the product since the prototype stage.\n\n* Be able to develop new features from high-level specs and designs from the Head of Product, and take autonomy of your own work from planning to execution\n\n* Improve our current code and system\n\n* Optimise and automate processes\n\n* Take full responsibility for test-driven development and QA\n\n* Where necessary, work with external contract developers\n\n* All applicants must be already in Ireland fully eligible to work freely here without restriction.\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Requirements  \n\n\n* 4+ years of professional industry experience in designing, developing, and debugging solutions\n\n* 3+ years of experience working with javascript, node.js, and managing databases and servers\n\n* 2-4+ year of experience in mobile app development\n\n* degree in computer science, computer engineering or technical subject with relevant conversion course\n\n* Fluency in English\n\n* Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills\n\n\n\n\n+ Ideal Experience (as many as possible!)  \n\n\n* 5+ years industry experience\n\n* Has experience working in a start-up and working on a large portion of the tech/ product ecosystem OR has worked on the app/mobile team of a larger company in a similar sector\n\n* Has developed commercial native mobile apps with experience in Swift and Android Studio\n\n* Experience with React Native\n\n* Experience with web development, in particular a frontend framework like Vue.js\n\n* Experience with UX Design\n\n* Familiarity with Google Firebase and TypeScript\n\n* Familiarity with SQL and relational databases\n\n* Knowledge extracting and analysing data from mobile apps\n\n\n\n\nIs SQUID for you?\n\nWould you describe yourself as someone as passionate? \nScalable Path is looking for an Expert Frontend React/Redux Developer to join the team and work on a client project. This is a remote, full-time position.\n\nCLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:\nThe client operates a popular software for cannabis industry compliance. Is the fastest-growing Seed to Sale Cannabis tracking platform in the US. They help cannabis business owners by providing seamless integration with their California State reporting system to monitor inventory, prevent diversion, and collect taxes. About 1,000 cannabis operators currently use the product.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe client needs to modernize and rebuild the frontend of a legacy AngularJS app in React/Redux in a very rapid/iterative fashion. The UX will not change a lot, but new, modern frontend technologies will be used. There are existing REST APIs (powered by ASP.Net v4) which can power much of functionality, and there will be dedicated backend developers available to improve APIs as necessary to ensure smooth/clear contracts between frontend and backend. The client is also considering wrapping the backend REST APIs in GraphQL so that the frontend code can use GraphQL queries as opposed to REST queries.\n\nYour responsibility will be modernizing the frontend of the Application using React and Redux.\n\nThe client would really like to build the new frontend using TypeScript, but if they can't find developers quickly enough who know TypeScript, they may be open to using regular JavaScript.\n\nThey are currently using the Semantic UI frontend framework, but they are concerned with the long-term maintenance of that framework and are open to moving to Bootstrap or Material UI.\n\nThe entire React application will be deployed to Firebase as a static application (no server-side rendering needed).\n\nThe client is using Jira for project management and Git (Bitbucket) for source control.\n\nRELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:\nYou'll be reporting to a Lead Engineer and working with two backend engineers, a designer, and a product owner.
