How you will help\nAs a Data Analytics Engineer on the Discovery Team, you will be tasked with empowering our users to delve deep into the complexities of the data in our warehouse. Our team is uniquely charged with telling the full story of HealthVerity’s platform by highlighting the interoperability of data across hundreds of sources and showcasing the powerful insights that our data provides. You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to build scalable data pipelines and design data analytics engines that empower deep insights for our customers.\n\nWhat you will do\n• Work with a team of developers to execute strategies, implement solutions and produce peer reviewed quality software\n• Build and optimize map-reduce pipelines to empower data discovery\n• Design analytics engines that provide fast insights at-scale\n• Leverage AWS serverless tooling to expose internal microservices via APIs and run asynchronous workflows\n• Improve the software development process using Agile best-practices\n\nOur tech stack\nThe Discovery team leverages the following technologies in our day-to-day development process:\nSpark, Python, Scala, Databricks, AWS Elastic Map-Reduce (EMR), Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch (AWS OpenSearch), AWS ECS, Serverless Framework, OpenAPI Specification, Datadog, Jenkins, SQL\n\nYou are...\n• An experienced technologist who has worked with large datasets\n• Driven to create high quality products\n• Knowledgeable in databases and can speak about uses cases for different types\n• Knowledgeable in cloud services, especially AWS\n• A team player who enjoys working collaboratively towards team goals\n• Willing to work across the full software stack and learn new technologies\n• Security conscious and understand the importance of data integrity and patient privacy\n\nDesired skills and experience\n• 2+ years experience working with distributed data processing (Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, AWS EMR, AWS Glue/Athena)\n• 2+ years experience writing code for data analytics/processing in a language such as Python, R, or Scala\n• Strong command of SQL querying and optimizations\n• Experience with programming Notebooks (ex: Jupyter, Zeppelin, Databricks, R-Studio, Google Colab, or similar)\n• AWS experience (serverless technologies, preferred)\n• Comfortable with a UNIX-based command line environment\n• 2+ years experience with version control system (Git, preferred)\n\nAbout HealthVerity\nPharmaceutical manufacturers, payers and government organizations have partnered with HealthVerity to solve some of their most complicated use cases through transformative technologies and real-world data infrastructure.
