When we do this well, we embody an approach to Israel education that resonates with emerging adult learners and welcomes every student to meaningfully explore their relationship to Israel. \n\nThe Center for Jewish and Israel Education (CJIE) has been pioneering this work across a suite of programming and more broadly influencing the ways Israel education manifests in the Hillel movement. \n\nA core guiding principle of our work has been the Inquiry Centered Model for Israel Education. We will continue to innovate around the field of Israel Education, responding to the changing needs of campuses, professionals, and students.\n\nThe Israel Education work of the Center for Jewish and Israel Education has included: Our Masterclass: Israel (MCI) is designed to support Hillel educators toward great pedagogical and content knowledge is in its fifth cohort and has had a deep impact on the ways Israel education is deployed on campus. Following the development of MCI, we launched Kol Yisrael, a series of curricula meant to broaden the repertoire of Israel learning opportunities led by campus professionals for students. The Israel Insight Fellowship, a unique travel experience for select student leaders, has created new ways for those leaders to engage with the essential questions that Israel poses for contemporary students. Masterclass Israel Xperience (MCIX) innovated a new model of Israel educational travel in partnership with JAFI: Makom focused on exploring the tribes of Israel. In response to the events of October 7 and the war that followed, the CJIE has pioneered immersive educational travel, the Tzofim and Sipurim trips, for Hillel professionals, supporting their personal and professional exploration of Israel, as well as the development of several curricula to support the efforts of campus educators to help students learn and process the new reality. \n\nThe Associate Director of Israel Education will support this body of work to continue the growth and impact of these various programs while also piloting and building new learning opportunities.\nWhat Youโll Do\n\nThe CJIE Associate Director of Israel Education will co-develop and oversee a series of interventions designed to increase nuanced and engaging educational programming for Hillel professionals. These opportunities will happen through multiple modalities including travel to Israel, cohort learning, in-person intensive gatherings, and online training seminars. \n\nThe Associate Director for Israel Education will\n\n\n* Help build and support a robust Israel educational platform for Hillel professionals\n\n* Co-develop curriculum, cohorts, seminars, and travel opportunities that support the growth of Hillel professionals including Israel content knowledge, facilitation, teaching skills, and other competencies to be determined\n\n* Collaborate with colleagues focused on Israel education, travel, and advocacy within the Schusterman International Center, in the field and more broadly in this space\n\n* Serve as an educational resource and consultant to campus professionals building Israel educational efforts\n\n* Alongside CJIE team and consultant facilitator, participate in the development and implementation of a strategic learning process including a broad range of Hillel professionals and academic advisors.\n\n\n\n\nSome examples of programming that the Associate Director might develop include\n\n\n* Fellowships are designed to build facilitation skills for field professionals that culminate in a trip to Israel for approximately 20 mid- to high-level field professionals. Associate Directors are also responsible for coaching and managing members of the Product Management team. \n\nSpecific Responsibilities:\n\n* Work effectively with Science leadership and other stakeholders to oversee and lead alignment on strategies, roadmaps, and portfolio tradeoffs, maintaining a prioritized multi-year roadmap.\n* Deeply understand customer, partner, and internal group drivers to identify and scope products and priorities that improve customer satisfaction, business performance, and user experience.\n* Coach, mentor, and manage more junior members of the product management team, working with the Science leadership to establish structures for team support.\n* Conduct and maintain comprehensive product ROI analyses for the Science department.\n* Implement and improve voice of customer frameworks and metrics to identify trends and influences across multiple customers, partners, and internal groups.\n* Lead research of the K-12 Science competitive landscape including deep dives into key competitors and read shifts in customer preferences to inform product development, messaging, and positioning.\n* Proactively partner with Implementation Success, Sales, and Marketing to ensure success across Go to Market activities for each new product or feature launch, through product training, to ensure alignment of messaging across all products, marketing materials, and customer interactions.\n* Coordinate with project management to create replicable processes and templates for each phase of the product development life cycle, including product management.\n* Establish product pricing, supported by cost data and market pricing research and in collaboration with leaders from sales and finance departments. \n* Lead a growing team of product managers, user researchers and data analysts, serving as the direct supervisor of 3-7 team members. \n* Set and monitor annual and quarterly team and individual goals, strategically prioritizing the teams efforts in service of the organizational, and departmental goals and core values. \n* Build a positive work culture that elevates the organizationโs core values. \n* Create and lead effective communication and collaboration across teams and stakeholders, including maintaining a single, accessible source of truth for accurate and timely data relevant to product scope and release dates; produce and present accurate and timely data to support risk mitigation, on-going decision making, and strategic planning.\n\n\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n* 7+ years of experience working in education publishing with a track record of success in product development, digital product management, and/or curriculum development\n* Knowledgeable of project breakdowns, budget, and scheduling, and an understanding of how to successfully track a project from prototype through production and to market launch \n* Be a self-starter that thrives in fast-paced environments, is detail-oriented and thorough\n* Demonstrate expertise in product management tools and processes \n* Demonstrate impeccable social, oral communication, and writing skills needed to synthesize market, customer, and cross-organizational needs for a specific audience, particularly those new to product mindset, digital development, and/or revenue-driven decision-making \n* Demonstrate competence in understanding and communicating requirements across varied functions including, content creators, expert consultants, tech developers, user experience designers, product marketers, finance, and executive leadership \n* Hold a deep belief that every child is capable of greatness and a respect and commitment to the importance of high-quality, knowledge-building curriculum \n* Appreciate the challenges and victories faced everyday by classroom teachers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n* Graduate degree (Business Administration or Education)\n\n\n\nStatus\n\n* Full-time\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n* Remote\n* Some travel is required\n\n\n\nA cover letter and resume are required to be considered for this position.\n\n\nNew employees will be required to successfully complete a background check and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, subject to potential accommodation as required by law.\n\nAny communication to applicants relating to the Great Minds hiring process will only come from email addresses with the domains greatminds.org or greatminds.recruitee.com.
