๐ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Remote OK accepts no liability or responsibility as a consequence of any reliance upon information on there (external sites) or here.

\nSpiderOak is looking for a senior-level Django developer to help build out our backend web systems and our enterprise integration stack. You will need to be comfortable with building, nurturing, and deploying complex Django projects at scale. A mastery of how Linux interacts as part of the application stack and some DevOps (specifically Docker) experience is a must; as well as experience in writing queries for, deploying, and maintaining, PostgreSQL. You must be able to work with the team in navigating building and shipping complicated code on a tight time budget, with as much automated tooling and testing as possible. Finally, you should be comfortable working with the team on code review and security hardening. Our customers put a lot of faith in us, and it is imperative that we maintain their trust.\n\nPreference for Kansas City area candidates, but remote work is possible. Significant overlap with US Central time zone required. You will be expected to communicate regularly with the rest of your team, working out problems and collaborating in a daily basis to drag projects across the finish line. The ability to take lead on projects falling under your responsibility is paramount. While we do not use a strict Agile methodology, it is important that your development be focused around a feedback loop with your peers as you work, and you must be familiar and comfortable with regularly working through the code of both you and your teammates as work progresses. We require a basic working proficiency in the written and spoken English language, and the ability to travel to the United States 1-4 times a year for team meet-ups.\n\nMuch as we believe in internet privacy for all, we do not discriminate in who we choose to be part of our team. We know no boundaries based on race, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexuality, or other terms humans use to separate the 'us' from the 'them'. If you can do the job and communicate readily, we will be happy to work with you.\n\nWe offer a compensation package including paid vacation, holiday, and personal time for all, and US workers enjoy a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life, and short and long term disability insurance.\n\nOur interview process involves a phone conversation and then work sample testing.\n\nStill interested?
