This is an exciting time to be joining the Tridonic team as we look to strengthen our position as the global driver of lighting technology.\n\n As a Senior DevOps Engineer on the Tridonic IoT team, you will support continuous integration and delivery for a world-class IoT platform which will allow our customers to easily manage their lighting and "beyond lighting" devices.\n You will support the existing connecDIM platform and utilize key learnings for the next generation net4more IoT platform.\n\n Your remit will include but not limited to:\n* Responsible for collaborating with development, Quality Assurance (QA) and operations teams to define processes and best practices for reliable delivery of high quality software\n* Works closely with development, QA and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment of production releases\n* Work closely with development, QA and operation teams to continually monitor and benchmark scalability, availability, and reliability\n* Design, build, implement and build continuous integration and continuous delivery frameworks for the entire IoT platform\n* Lead the adoption of best-in-class practices, frameworks and tools\n* Participate in software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews and provide feedback to junior developers\n\n\n\nYour Profile\n\n You should hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent in a related field and candidates should have experience with build automation concepts using tools like maven, GitLab-CI, Docker, Swarm and Kubernetes. You will have expertise in setting up, managing and monitoring cloud instances using AWS or Azure as well as working in a Linux environment and writing scripts. Not an actual operations post.\n\nMission :\n\nDirectly reporting to our VP of Infrastructure, your roles will include:\n\n\n* Capacity planning: based on current workloads and future tasks plan with precision and rationality when we should upgrade what. When is the next window we can possibly launch a new cloud region?\n\n* Do follow-ups on tasks. Make sure we have beautiful RCAs when there are incidents. Bug people get answers. Be bugged. And give answers. \n\n* Backlog grooming. Making it pretty. Actionable. Sublime\n\n* Sprint planning, estimation, critical path analysis\n\n* Making projects delivery predictable. Measurable. Finding impediments and helping remove them\n\n* Managing with brio changes to backlog. Informing stakeholders when an injected task will cause some other story to be rejected from current sprint or be late\n\n* Project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility\n\n* Tooling around project plan and progress tracking\n\n* Reporting and escalation when necessary\n\n* Quality management.
