\nWhat We Are Looking For/What You Will Be Doing\n\nWe are looking for a senior DevOps Engineer who is interested in becoming a full-time remote employee with occasional visits to our home office in Davis, California. If you are hired, you will be spending the first week onsite in Davis, California to become acclimated with our processes, get your laptop, and meet the people you will be working with. As the sole member of our DevOps team it will be your responsibility to:\n\n\n* Provide DevOps thought and leadership to all IT team members.\n\n* Practice continuous improvement, including giving and receiving constructive feedback.\n\n* Grow a continuous delivery pipeline enabling frequent and seamless production deployments.\n\n* Implement automated testing.\n\n* Integrate best-of-breed logging, monitoring, and metrics frameworks.\n\n* Promote a pervasive DevOps culture in the organization through tools, processes, and advocacy.\n\n\n\n\nThis can’t be stressed enough: you will need to have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), be self-motivated, and have a high-speed and reliable internet connection. You are the type of person that follows up on requests, doesn’t let things slip through the cracks, you have a knack for attention to detail and, above all, is a team player.\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* You have a minimum of a BS in Computer Science or related field.\n\n* Previous full-time remote work experience would be nice to have.\n\n* 10+ years work experience, most of that in a DevOps role.\n\n* You have a deep understanding of continuous delivery and methodologies.\n\n* Extremely focused on automation and standards based solutions.\n\n* You enjoy designing, managing and maintaining tools to automate engineering operations.\n\n* Scripting skills to automate everything.\n\n* Experience with ASP.NET/C# Web Forms & MVC.\n\n* Deep experience with the Microsoft Technology stack.\n\n* A team player who also works well without supervision.\n\n* Proficiency with Team Foundation Server.\n\n* Proficiency with Git and Git workflows.\n\n* Experience working in an Agile development environment.\n\n* Strong attention to detail.\n\n* You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.\n\n\n\n\nHiring Process\n\nWe don’t want to waste your time, which is why we would like for you to understand our hiring process.
