Remote Senior Software Engineer Data Exchange
The Opportunity\n\nThe Senior Software Engineer will work closely with clients to work on backend C# development. They will be a creative problem solver, have working knowledge of C#, .Net, and Agile, and have experience with DevOps. They will also be results-oriented, with experience working on iterative projects that have continuous delivery pipelines.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to: \n\n\n* Design, program and test software\n\n* Troubleshoot, data map, data model the architecture\n\n* Architect microservices, building SaaS platform ingest\n\n* Author and maintain relevant documentation for developers, clients and users\n\n* Develop and refine prototypes to confirm requirements\n\n* Program according to project plans (versions, sprints)\n\n* Lead release and post-release activities, such as support, versioning and maintenance\n\n* Collaborate with our designers to create interfaces\n\n* Peer review other team members’ code, and learn and adapt from peer review of your own code\n\n* Support sales and project managers with technical insights, leading to the creation of budgets and schedules for projects\n\n\n\nWhat You'll Need\n\nEducation:\n\n\n* A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or its equivalent\n\n\n\n\nExperience:\n\nKey requirements of this position:\n\n\n* Hands-on experience with .NET Development – 5 years.\n\n* Demonstration of knowledge and experience with DevOps practices\n\n* Experience with Databricks and Python - 5 years\n\n* Experience with ETL and data warehousing patterns is an asset\n\n* Experience leading a team in designing and developing complex technical solutions.\n\n* Strategic architecture experience in a service-oriented data-driven software product organization – 5 years.\n\n* Experience breaking down user problems into stories and solutions.\n\n* Experience working on iterative projects with continuous delivery pipelines.\n\n* Experience with test-driven development.\n\n\n\n\nAdditional data related experience could also include the following:\n\n\n* Graph Database patterns\n\n* RabbitMQ, Hang Tire\n\n* Lambda patterns\n\n* BI patterns\n\n* Data indexing, partitioning & sharding\n\n* Data service & abstraction layers\n\n* RT, NRT, Bulk data operations\n\n* Webhooks, APIs, message queues\n\n\n\n\nKey Competencies and Skills:\n\n\n* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences \n\n* Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results\n\n* Hands-on development experience or full understanding of mobile and service development pipeline and process\n\n* Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects\n\n* Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills\n\n* Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and appropriate tactical plans quickly\n\n* Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization\n\n* Understands language best practices and that starting is as important as finishing\n\n* Know the difference between simple and easy, understand classes and mix-ins\n\n* Know the advantages and trade-offs between closure/blocks and delegates\n\n* Diligent about meeting allocated budgets and can work within time constraints without sacrificing quality\n\n* Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and can share insights and expectations with stakeholders, clients, team members and various levels of management.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
