What you’ll do\n\nBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:\n\n\n\n* Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for the DevOps, SRE, and Data team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.\n\n* Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\n\n* Drive automation initiatives and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.\n\n* Champion the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.\n\n* Implement robust monitoring solutions and incident response procedures to ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud services.\n\n* Work closely with security teams to implement best practices for cloud security. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.\n\n* Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to streamline workflows, improve release processes, and enhance overall productivity.\n\n* Develop and execute strategies for optimizing cloud costs, including resource utilization analysis, cost allocation, and budget management.\n\n* Mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and facilitate skill development to enhance the capabilities of the Cloud Platform Engineering team.\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events occasionally. Here’s what else you’ll bring:\n\n\n* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.\n\n* 10 years of experience in cloud platform engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.\n\n* Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\n\n* Deep knowledge of infrastructure DevOps practices, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\n* Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, Agile practices, and collaboration tools.\n\n* Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.\n\n* Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).\n\n* Familiarity with machine learning and AI technologies.\n\n* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.\n\n* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\n\n* Relevant certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, etc.) are a plus.\n\n* Experience in a greenfield project environment is a plus.\n\n\n\nWhat you'll gain\n\nThe benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.  This is a chance to create something new and lasting – with an iconic brand at its foundation.  In addition, Scout provides competitive compensation and benefits to support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
