We are looking for a rounded web developer who can demonstrate:\n\n- Experience in one or more programming languages such as Python (preferred) or Java and familiarity with modern technology stacks (e.g. Spring or Django).\n\n- HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills, ideally with jQuery experience, and an interest and awareness of emerging web standards.\n\n- Experience of deploying and maintaining websites with Apache, Linux, and either MongoDB or PostgreSQL.\n\n- A real appreciation of clean, well-tested, well-documented code.\n\n- Experience of Agile development practices such as Test Driven Development and User Stories.\n\n- Appreciation, and ideally experience of, Data Science tools and approaches such as modelling, algorithm development, Bayesian forecasting and data filtering.\n\n- Experience in Excel, big data technologies or high-performance data engineering a bonus.\n\n- Good client communication and questioning skills.\n\nYou should have a good relevant technical degree, or equivalent level of experience.
