\nOur Marketing Product Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us reach out and expand our audience of Zillow fans. You’ll work with our Marketing group on a wide variety of projects with high visibility, right on the front page of Zillow.com. Your work will be seen and used by millions. You’ll have a lot of latitude to run with your ideas to make Zillow.com the best place anywhere for our users to make their home-ownership dreams come true.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\n\n\n* Delight our users with the features you’ll ship.\n\n* Write performance-minded, highly-readable code using OO best practices\n\n* Take ownership of product features\n\n* Be involved at all stages of application development, from UI design to final testing\n\n* Invent elegant solutions to hard problems\n\n* Collaborate closely with UI designers, Program Managers, Developers and Testers\n\n* Have fun!\n\n\n\n\nWhat you’ll need:\n\n\n* BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering\n\n* Minimum of 5 years of software application, systems and web development experience\n\n* A proven track record of high productivity in application, architecture, design, coding, troubleshooting and debugging with a bias toward action\n\n* Experience designing and implementing high performance services and APIs\n\n* Experience implementing RESTful web services\n\n* Strong experience with Java or Python\n\n* Technical expertise in Ajax (Javascript, XML, CSS and HTML)\n\n* Ability to carry out tasks with limited need for supervision\n\n* The ability to work in a fast, agile and nimble environment with frequent change\n\n* Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills\n\n\n\n\nYou’ll have an edge if you have experience with:\n\n\n* Big data and No-SQL databases.\n\n* Customer targeting products such as segmentation and personalization\n\n* Spring framework\n\n* Tapestry, Mustache-Templates or YUI.\n\n* Developing on a Linux or other Unix OS platform\n\n* Relational databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server\n\n* Distributed systems design and development\n\n* Git\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
