Please, pleasy-please, read and respect the following 5 notes before applying with a single click:

  1. Instead of using the RemoteOK built-in application system where the systems sends the employer a note like "John is interested in this position, click here to see his RemoteOK CV" please just send your CV in PDF format to the following E-Mail address: [email protected]
  2. We'll pay you 1500 EUR per month for 6h per day, Monday to Friday. It's hard to stay focused for 8 hours straight, therefore more than 6h per day don't make sense. You can have other jobs on the side, but not while you're dedicating your daily 6h to Lightup. The 6h must get spent dedicated, continous, without interruption and without doing other tasks at the same time.
  3. You'll find a keyword at the end of this job description. Include it in your E-Mail to us, either in the subject or in the body of your E-Mail, so that we know you're clear about what you're actually applying for vs. just applying for a ton of jobs in a random fashion because that's not cool. E-Mails without the keyword will get ignored.
  4. If there are should be typing or grammar mistakes in your CV we'll already know that you don't pay much attention to detail and in this case you're the wrong candidate for this job.
  5. Thanks for your cooperation, these are some prerequisites to save time on both sides. :-)

Now, about the actual job: Lightup was established in 1998 in Frankfurt, Germany as a Hosting & Domain Provider and today is still a small but international Internet Full-Service & Telephony Service Provider, focusing heavily on web-based telecommunication services (VoIP) since 2011. We're need more developers to create more cool web telecom-related projects and apps. 100% of our team works from remote.

To compensate for the monthly kind of low payment of just 1500 EUR, which may be too low for some parts of the world, we're offering you a quite unique profit sharing model: For every web project that you turn into reality, you'll receive 20% of the profit that this project generates for as long as you stay with Lightup. That way, you'll be also extra motivated to extend the service you just created and keep it running and improve it over time while it's growing, generating you even more profit every month. We love to see our employees happy, and if the company is profiting as a whole, you as an individual should profit from that, too.

We'll create the ideas, and you'll put these projects into reality. Your profile:

  • You are awesome at working independently and self-sufficient, you are great at researching using Google and AI tools extensively to find the infos you need & to learn.
  • You could, in theory, build functional websites from scratch without relying on AI or programming tools.
  • You can write code from scratch using your brain, without AI, and just by using a text editor (if need be).
  • Coding means actually writing manual code for you, not copy'ing & paste'ing code snippets that you found on the web. To you, coding also doesn't mean dragging objects from A to B in some visual "programming" tool.

In other words, you're a real programmer!

Your skills:

  • Perfect English & typing proficiency. No typos, no grammar mistakes.
  • You can create Android apps from scratch, from start to finish, by yourself.
  • You can handle the Linux shell and you can navigate through a Linux-based filesystem using just command line tools.
  • You're a master of the programming language(s) of your choice that allow you to create web-projects (PHP, Python, whatever).
  • You are very good at SQL, you understand the inner workings of e.g. MySQL and thus you know what makes queries slow and what makes them fast.
  • All of this requires that you already have plenty of experience, if you are new to all of this or if you think AI will be able to handle these requirements for you, then you are not the right candidate.
  • You have used vi or vim before.

What the job will look like in practice:

  • We're defining the inner workings and features of the to-be-created web-based service, or app, together.
  • You'll start at 0 and build these services & apps from the ground up, independently, by yourself.
  • We'll communicate permanently via Slack.
  • Here you can find the keyword so that we'll know you actually read until here: Work-in-underpants.
  • No travelling required, you can do this job from anywhere in the world with a stable, broadband internet connection. External keyboard + external mouse required in case you're working on a laptop, otherwise you would be too slow for what we expect from you.
  • We are a German company, and precision and speed are key to this role. :-)

And now, we're looking forward to read from you - thank you!

About Heliax

Heliax is a public goods lab which researches, develops, deploys, and maintains open-source protocols and mechanisms designed to serve the everyday needs of humanity. Using these protocols and mechanisms, we build vertically integrated products and networks that form coherent open systems which are capable of acting as an alternative to existing exploitative paradigms.

Two of the most notable vertically integrated protocols are Anoma and Namada.ย

Anoma is an intent-centric, privacy-preserving protocol for decentralized counterparty discovery, distributed solving, and atomic multi-chain settlement โ€“ a radically novel architecture for decentralized protocols marking the beginning of the third generation of architectures ever since programmable settlement.

Namada is Anomaโ€™s first fractal instance. It is proof-of-stake Layer 1 protocol for asset-agnostic, interchain privacy. The key innovations include ZCash-like shielded transfers for any assets (fungible and non-fungible), incentivised privacy sets, and interoperability with Ethereum via a custom bridge and IBC.

Heliax is a remote-first (but not remotely-only) team, currently composed of +50 cross-disciplinary members located around the world.

As a creative senior front end engineer you must be super passionate about crafting high-end front-end websites and applications. Along with being a kickass dev you should have a great design eye and a willingness to have design input into what you build. • Work closely with the Design UX/UI & Growth team, a team composed by designers, developers, and content writers on building, improving, and maintaining the existing and upcoming organization and project websites.

  • Developer-friendly documentation writing for both internal use and external use, as the projects and its libraries are/will be open-source.

Qualifications

  • You LOVE front-ends and have a passion for delivering delectable user experiences to a world-wide user base.

HappyPorch is hiring a

Remote Full Stack Developer .Net

**Join the HappyPorch team**\n\nPassionate about coding? Looking for a flexible, remote role where you are part of an enthusiastic and committed team?\n\nWe are looking for a .Net web developer to join our distributed team. This is a permanent position and full-time position.\n\n## About Us\n\nWe collaborate, explore, discover and invent alongside our clients, building applications that enable them to thrive, develop new approaches, and play their part in creating a better world. We provide development expertise to create the best, most equitable, solutions possible, delivered with honesty, integrity, and transparency. We focus on our clientsโ€™ purpose and the impact they are aiming to have, not on our own egos or trendy technology for its own sake. We do all of this with passion, joy, and a spirit of fun.\n\nOur commitment to value beyond profit is more than just talk. HappyPorch is a Certified B Corporation and are members of 1% for the Planet. We have been a remote-first team since the company was founded in 2015. We are a distributed team of specialist web developers who value, support, and mentor each other. While we do work hard, we also acknowledge that a healthy, balanced life is a requirement, not an optional extra.\n\n## The Role\n\nYou will be an important member of our distributed development team. You will be working extremely closely with our amazing, long-term clients and be involved in all aspects of projects including requirements gathering, contributing to architectural decisions, planning and prioritisation, and throughout the development process.\n\nYou will be working remotely as part of a small team of 10 spread across Scotland, England, several other countries across Europe and beyond. Working on a distributed team takes a high level of motivation and the ability to self-manage. You will also be communicating with clients directly. This requires excellent written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally with both technical and non-technical people.\n\n## You\n\n* Are keen to take responsibility and use your experience, ideas, and energy to help drive success\n* Enjoy solving problems and are constantly looking to learn and improve\n* Are willing to be measured by your output and the value you bring, not the hours you log\n* Are outstanding at communicating both verbally and in written English (and more than tech-speak!)\n* Are detail-oriented and meticulous about quality\n* Understand how important a good, disciplined process is; in software development as well as communication and project management\n\nThe ideal person will bring the correct mindset, ability to learn and adapt along with as wide a range of technical experience as possible, we, therefore, encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.\n\nPlease find more information on how we are working to become a [more diverse team](http://happyporch.com/diversity-where-we-are-and-were-wed-like-to-be/) here and [most recently here](https://www.happyporch.com/articles/posts/2020/november/diversity-and-equality-at-happyporch-in-2020/).\n\n## Technology\n\nYou need to:\n\n* Have good experience of web development\n* Be experienced in C# and ASP.NET\n* Be comfortable using GIT\n\nExperience of any of the following would also be an advantage: .Net Core, API development, Actor Model (e.g. Akka), Domain-Driven Design, unit and integration testing, or Azure Cloud. Although the experience of these is definitely not required, an interest in learning is.\n\n## Whatโ€™s in it for you?\n\n**Impact**\n\nYou will bring your experience, ideas, and energy to the role. As part of a small, fun team you will be much more than just another cog in the wheel. There is a huge opportunity to further develop your technical & leadership skills.\n\n**Purpose**\n\nA key part of our purpose is to contribute in a positive way to the world around us. Our commitment to value beyond profit is more than just talk, for example, we are a Certified B Corporation and are members of 1% for the Planet. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to our โ€˜pro-bonoโ€™ projects that have societal value. This might include open source development, charity projects, or training and assisting other organisations. A great example is our work with PovNet.\n\n**Transparency**\n\nWe run on self-management principles. This does not mean a completely flat hierarchy, any group of humans will have leaders. It does mean that we all input into how the company is run and everyone is invited to get involved and take on the level of responsibility that suits each of us. It also means that leadership is much more fluid than in a traditional company hierarchy.\n\nWe provide a lot of support and coaching to help you thrive in this environment and thus do great work. Although it can be challenging, it is incredibly rewarding to be part of.\n\n**Location & Hours**\n\nThis role is remote, much of the time you can work from anywhere โ€“ well almost โ€“ anywhere within 2 hours of the UK timezone. We are more interested in results than micromanaging which means we are very happy to talk about flexibility in your working hours. Some of our team enjoy a very structured day, others flex their work around family commitments.\n\nTwice each year (outside global pandemics) we meet up to work together for a few days. Recent locations have included England, Morocco, Madeira, Bulgaria, and Scotland. As well as being really useful it is a lot of fun, so we do all we can to help everyone join where it is possible.\n\n*HappyPorch asks respectfully to only apply through the application form and do not email/apply directly to HappyPorch. Any applications sent directly to HappyPorch will not be considered. Recruiters and Agencies please do not contact HappyPorch directly.* \n\nPlease mention the word **INTERESTING** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4zNw==). ๐Ÿ‘‰ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Remote OK accepts no liability or responsibility as a consequence of any reliance upon information on there (external sites) or here.

### WHO ARE AWE\n\nWe are the original pioneers in the web-based Augmented Reality industry and after years of R&D, we launched the world's first "commercial webAR creation platform" way back in 2016. \n\nThe AWE (Augmented Web Experiences) platform enables people to create image AR, spatial AR, face AR, location AR and interactive 360ยฐ or webVR experiences using our drag and drop editing tool or your own custom code.\n\nOur customers are at the core of everything we do. We strive to make creating webAR experiences as easy as possible. They range from heavy hitting corporates, to government departments, global digital agencies, marketing agencies (small, medium and large), digital freelancers and educators. \n\nWithin these companies our customers tend to be the creative forces; think "designers, artists, 3d modellers, front end developers and js folk that don't have the knowledge or the time to get their heads into the complex space that is webAR". \n\nWe make their lives easier by giving them the online tools they need to create a range of webAR experiences that "just work". All in your web browser. Experiences that seamlessly work across different devices without needing to add any code (unless you want to). \n\nWe are seeing increasingly strong growth in our customer base as more people are coming to understand what AR is, and more importantly how AWEsome it is when it's delivered through the web browser. \n\nCovid also means people are using webAR to connect to their customers in new and innovative ways too.\n\n### WHAT DOES WORKING AT AWE LOOK LIKE?\n\nSince its inception, AWE has been a "remote first and remote only" company and have established our team, processes and work based around this idea. We believe that life and work aren't separate. Supporting our team to work flexibly and remotely enables people to be more productive and allows for you to fit "more of your life" into your day.\n\nOur team is currently distributed across Europe and the Asia Pacific region, although we're open to welcoming new team members from anywhere in the world. \n\nWe don't have a physical office. Your office could be your home or a co-working space, a beachside cafe or the top of a mountain. As long as you have an internet connection, you decide where you work from. We have a culture of trust and accountability so we don't tell you when and where to work. Rather we are focused on productivity and open communication within the team. We encourage the team to have at least a 2-4 hour working time crossover window each day, especially with team members you may be currently working on a specific project with. And each day we have an all-in team meeting. For some, this means starting earlier in their day (freeing up your afternoons and evenings), for others it is starting later in the day, and some even like to split up their work times across their day and evening.\n\nOur primary communication is via online chat, and tickets/wiki for work tasks, allocation and documentation. Our primary language is English as this is the common language across team members. We don't mind if you don't have perfect spoken English, however your written English needs to be pretty good, as is your ability to type quickly in online channels as part of team discussions.\n\nWe also have a flat team structure, so you will be talking and working with anyone and everyone in the team when you need to.\n\n### WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING\n\nWe don't believe in giving you a list of tools and frameworks you need to have a high proficiency in. We don't need you to have a specific number of years experience under your belt. What we are looking for is someone with a passion for the web and experience building web based applications to work with our growing team to continue our groundbreaking work in the spatial and augmented web. \n\n### ABOUT YOU:\n* You have a good working knowledge of HTML and CSS\n* Have at least some experience with vanilla javascript\n* Good git skills\n* Have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite of tools or similar (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Invision, etc.). We're not asking you to be a designer, but you'll need to code product and project user interfaces, optimise images and other media from our content, design and UX team.\n* You have experience creating web based applications and\n* You are a great communicator. You appreciate the importance of clear communication, especially when workingย withย a remote team.ย \n* You bring a genuine aptitude for problem solving and the ability to work autonomously with a high degree of accountability. Youย are happy working on a task by yourself,ย but you take initiative to involve other team members whenย necessary.ย \n* You have aย high attention to detail.ย Youย are intimatelyย familiarย withย the complexitiesย ofย web development,ย e.g.ย mobileย responsiveness,ย browserย compatibilityย and ensure you QA all work before handing it over for integration or review.\n\n\n**Salary based on demonstrable skills and experience, and location.** \n\nPlease mention the words **RING DECORATE DISAGREE** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4zNw==). This is a feature to avoid spam applicants. \nApply your .NET skills as a developer within a multi-disciplinary A-team of experts. Day to day, you'll be collaboratively solving problems, architecting solutions, and expanding your mastery of CMS web development. If you are a tenacious problem-solver who thrives when digging deep into code and complex data sets, you will fit right in.   \n\nWe specialize in the design and development of enterprise .NET websites, so experience working with a.NET content management system (Ektron, Episerver, Umbraco, Sitecore, etc.) is required.  \n\nSTRATEGY, DESIGN, AND DEVELOPMENT AS A TEAM SPORT.\n\nWhen you become a .NET developer at Diagram, you'll get assigned to an account team with a strategist at the helm. Each team is responsible for working with a small group of clients, understanding their business goals, and building out a strategic roadmap to help push them forward. In your role, youcan expect a healthy mix of writing code, gathering requirements, participating in design critiques, architecting solutions, and coordinating with your team and clients. Each account team operates autonomously, meaning that the strategies your team propose will drive the work you do—what you can accomplish is limited only by your collective ideas and abilities. \n\nLET’S GET TECHNICAL\n\nThe incredibly complex nature of the web projects we take on demand a wide range of technical prowess from our development leads. If you work best when you're handed a blueprint and left alone to build in solitude for weeks on end, you might not be a good fit. Diagram developers prefer to be in the mix of things and would rather contribute to solving real problems with code than to just take orders. You are naturally curious, eager to learn, and play nice with others. As a developer at Diagram, you are treated as a professional, working with other professionals for common goals.Day to day, some of your responsibilities will include:\n\n\n* Work with modern hosting technologies: Azure DevOps, CI/CD, AWS, Episerver DXC, Umbraco Cloud\n\n* Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on enterprise client websites\n\n* Adapt to and learn new and emerging .NET/CMS technologies\n\n* Communicate and convey technical concepts to clients, team members, and project managers\n\n* Contribute to functional requirements and technical documentation\n\n* Work both independently as well as collaboratively within a team\n\n* Propose and architect technical solutions that help drive our clients forward\n\n* Estimate effort for development tasks\n\n\n\n\nWORKING AT DIAGRAM\n\nDiagram is a digital consultancy focused on design, development and marketing. We work with a small, exclusive set of client partners. It’s our goal to help them grow by developing strategic digital roadmaps and executing on it. We have a distributed team, with the bulk of our team based in Aurora, IL. We also have co-working space available in Fulton Market. We’ve been around since 1995. We're a fun, committed group of professionals dedicated to helping each team member produce the best work of their lives. Work collaboratively as part of one of our multidisciplinary teams. You’ll be contributing to ideation and decisions at all stages, actively shaping the design of everything you work on.\n\nOPEN PTO POLICY\n\nWe respect work-life balance and recognize that flexibility is key. Coordinate within your team, keep up with your work, take time off when you need it. We don't restrict or limit the amount of time off team members take. 'Nuff said.\n\nCHALLENGING WORK\n\nWe thrive when data is messy, problems are complex, and innovation is needed. We strive to push boundaries and continually ship value for a limited number of retainer clients. We're not a one and done shop. We value long-term client partnerships and iterative improvement.\n\nInterested in becoming a part of a world-class team at Diagram?\n\nTo Apply: To apply for this position, please send something that you feel communicates your expertise and what you're all about. As a Diagram Web Developer, you'll need to demonstrate expertise in the following areas:\n\n\n* Programming Languages: C#\n\n* Microsoft Web Frameworks: ASP.NET, MVC, Razor, Web API\n\n* Database Solutions: SQL or TSQL\n\n* Strong understanding of core development concepts: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP),relational database concepts, Inversion of Control (IoC), and Dependency Injection (DI)\n\n* Integrating third-party solutions through Web Services or other messaging frameworks\n\n* Basic knowledge of IIS and setting up local sites\n\n* Using Git and version control\n\n* Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and other JavaScript frameworks\n\n\n\n\nA HOME FOR DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS\n\nOur organizational model involves building out small collaborative teams that kick ass. We also offer great health benefits, a 401k plan with company matching, free lunches on Wednesdays, and other sweet perks.\n\nCROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS\n\nNo more hand-offs. This could be a resume, a portfolio site, or something entirely unexpected. You decide. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Web Developer, Developer, Digital Nomad, JavaScript and Git jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $120,000/year\n
