Pay will be set at a competitive hourly rate, fixed.\n\n**To applyโฆ**\n\nPlease write to [email protected] with ONE example of a responsive page you have coded, along with a brief pitch on why you think youโd be a great fit.\n\nDo not send more than one link or your entry will be disqualified.\n\nDo not apply through our website or your entry will be disqualified.\n\nAlso, please do not send a resume, CV or attachment of any kind. We donโt care where you went to college (or that you even went at all)โโโall that matters is whether you can do it.\n\nWe wonโt be able to get back to everyone, but for those who stand out, we will send a list of interview questions in writing, then, for the few we like best, set up a brief call to discuss the opportunity.\n\nThe deadline for submissions is June 10, though those who apply sooner have an advantage.\n\nWe will pick two candidates from interviews to begin a paid two-week trial (to assess on-the-job performance and cultural fit). One person will then be chosen for the ongoing role.\n\nThank you for reading. \nThis is a full time remote job. We hire from any country around the world. We are looking for a developer to build our native iPhone and Android apps, Web app and server.\n\nThey should be native iPhone (preferably Swift) and Android apps and you can use whatever is your preferred web technology.\n\nYou will be responsible for all aspects of development but will work in collaboration with us on overall system design. You can do the front end development yourself or if you prefer we can hire a part time developer to handle some of the front end targets. We will source a designer locally to provide assets for Android, iPhone and Web.\n\nYou will be building all functionality from scratch and you will be the only developer on the project for now. \n\nThe apps will be for scanning energy and health insurance bills and comparing them to find a lower cost competitor.\n\nAn overview of the functionality in the initial system:\n\n* Simple registration flow via Facebook or Email signup; bonus if you’ve integrated Facebook login flow into a previous app, but it’s fairly simple so you can learn on the job,\n\n* Simple animations; we’ve identified through user testing that it’s very important that the user onboarding process be very visual, simple and aptly convey the actions required by the user,\n\n* Allow the user to take photos of their energy/insurance bill and upload them to a backend system for storing and management,\n\n* Backend system to allow company staff to interact with scanned images and communicate with the user, through: email (mailchimp), SMS (twilio) and/or push notifications (Parse Push ); basically, a simple custom CMS with a standard web-portal, authentication and DB integration.\n\n\n\nThe initial version of the app will be quite simple, you can expect detailed requirements, but we will be building more functionality as we go. It’s important that you are happy to work on both the mobile app/web development and backend system. It’s also important that you are happy to work on building a very simple app without much technology and later adding some more complex technology to the app.\n\nYou should have prior experience in developing by Android and iPhone apps. Please include in your application letter your prior experience in developing Android and iPhone apps.\n\nOur company is based in Australia but we will hire from any country. You will probably not relocate to Australia, you will be working from home (or from a shared office space near your home). You should use software technology to track your hours and verify hours worked, and you will be required to do a minimum of 160 hours per month to be paid your full time rate. \n\nYou can work basically flexible hours (whenever you want); but you will need to be available from time to time for regular meetings to work through any aspects of development, dependencies, design and code reviews, etc.. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
