\nEFL is seeking a JavaScript guru that can work closely with our product and design team to implement our next generation content and delivery system for end-users in emerging markets. EFL works with end-users that could be farmers in rural Mexico or shopkeepers in Nairobi. This position will own the direction and implementation of this powerful platform. You will own our Discovery Module framework that allows us to build new exercises as self contained Single Page Apps (SPAs). You will also own our Applicant Journey Web SDK that let’s us deploy Discovery Modules online. You will also own the creation of the content itself! We are continuously developing new content based on the predictive models that we are building and you would get to build lots of little Single Page Apps that do one thing and do it well! How satisfying would that be?! The job is rewarding but also challenging and we are seeking the right person to help us!\n\nPrimary Responsibilities: \n\n\n* Chart the course for EFL as we build out our next generation online content and delivery platform\n\n* Work closely with EFL product managers, designers and field researchers to plan, design and implement highly innovative front-end user experiences that work across a variety of cultures and education levels\n\n* Prepare estimates on feature scope and delivery with our product team\n\n* Rapidly and continually deliver high-quality code\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Boston. Outstanding remote candidates may be considered, but due to the collaborative nature of the job, Boston-based candidates are highly preferred. You will have the opportunity to travel to visit team and clients in Peru and likely other EFL countries across the globe to work on ground-breaking UX projects with a wide variety of different end users. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

\nAbout the Position:\n\nEFL is seeking a JavaScript guru that can work closely with our product design team to implement next generation gamified exercises and UX components for base of the pyramid end-users in emerging markets. EFL works with end-users that could be farmers in rural Mexico or shopkeepers in Nairobi – we provide an application interface online and on Android for people that lack access to traditional credit. This position will own the direction and implementation of this extraordinary UX challenge – how to implement an interface that is beautiful, easy to understand, intuitive, works online and on a mobile device, and doesn’t require a lot of bandwidth. We’re seeking the right person to help us solve that challenge. This may require getting into the field and seeing how people use EFL every day around the world.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities: \n\n\n* Chart the course for EFL technology in front-end technologies as we build up our capabilities\n\n* Develop and implement highly innovative front-end UX designs that work across a variety of cultures and education levels\n\n* Work closely with EFL product designers and field researchers to iteratively test new gamified exercise concepts\n\n* Write high-quality front-end code with an emphasis on test-driven development\n\n* Prepare estimates on feature scope and delivery with our product team\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
