Buoy Software is hiring a

Remote Security & Risk Engineer US based

\nAbout Buoy Software\n\n\nOur mission is to deliver the best experience possible to as many donors of blood products (such as plasma) as possible, in as many communities as possible. We use our understanding of blood product donation and the industryโ€™s regulations and pair them with our extensive consumer product experience to enrich the lives of our members and improve health outcomes for patients everywhere. \n\n\nIn an industry that hasnโ€™t seen innovation in more than two decades, Buoyโ€™s software streamlines the donation process allowing our business to promote loyalty while improving efficiency in a donation center. In turn, the increase in blood product donations improves a supply level that is at an all time low, and allows for blood-product derived biotherapies to continue to evolve, improve, and save lives for those who face life-threatening conditions (i.e. immune deficiencies and blood disorders). Without an increase in blood product donations, we are facing a worldwide health crisis that ultimately results in rationing of care without the proper resources. Buoy Software is excited to be playing more of a role in improving the state of blood products and blood product donations.\n\n\nWeโ€™re working alongside Join Parachute ([www.joinparachute.com/](http://www.joinparachute.com/)) in the opening of small market donation centers across the country that will create local donation center careers, opportunities to donate blood products, and provide financial compensation for those donations that will have a positive economic impact in those communities. \n\n\nThe need for blood products is growing rapidly. We want to close the gap in blood product supply and demand by empowering organizations with the right tools. Buoy is the intuitive, data-driven mobile application for donors.\n\n\nAbout The Role\n\n\nWe're looking for a Security and Risk Engineer to join our team. You enjoy working in an environment where you have a lot of autonomy. You are not one to wait around to be given work, but are always looking for ways in which you can provide support for your colleagues.\n* You can adapt to change quickly and thrive in an environment where every day is different / you own a variety of tasks.\n* You are a team player. Everyone contributes within the Buoy team, and you want to help the team get the job done when needed, regardless of initial ownership.\n* You are professional in your collaboration and communication methods. \nFull Stack JavaScript Software Engineer\n\nWhy IDS?\n\nToday’s virtual training environments are segmented and simplistic—the opposite of the real-world’s complex and integrated cyber battlefield. When even the most subtle input can influence every other facet of an operation, the one-dimensional training provided to our armed forces is not only outdated, it flat-out fails to equip them to outpace the operational tempo of the rapidly-evolving multi-domain battlefield. In the virtual arena, new threats emerge every day. IDS provides the tools for warfighters and cyber operators not just to prepare for them, but to anticipate the risks and to be ready for them when they arrive.\n\nSocial Media Environment and Internet Replication (SMEIR™), a product of IDS International Government Services, is a digital training solution that provides a full-range, free-play, immersive, realistic and scalable operational practice environment in which warfighters simultaneously train on full-spectrum cyberspace operations and social media analytics during integrated and multi-dimensional exercises.\n\nIDS International is seeking a Mid to Senior level Full Stack JavaScript Software Engineer to join our growing team and build out the next generation of our internet simulation platform, called SMEIR. The Software Engineer will replicate various websites and social media platforms that will be used for cyber-training exercises. IDSI’s engineering team uses a modified Scrum/Agile process. Candidate must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. IDSI uses Slack, Jira and Git for project and software management. Our main office is in Arlington, VA with remote opportunities available for the right candidate.   \n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* Use software development languages including Javascript, Node.js, SQL and tools to write, edit, maintain, and test computer software as part of a synthetic cyberspace training environment.\n\n* Follow the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to plan, design, build, test, and deploy software applications, ranging from websites and mobile applications to web applications, video games, and back end API architecture.\n\n* In addition to creating new software, improve and maintain the working order of existing software.\n\n\n\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n\n* Minimum 3 years professional experience with:\n\n\n* JavaScript (ECMA)\n\n* Node.js\n\n* HTML5/CSS3\n\n* Building and using RESTful APIs\n\n* Git\n\n* Familiarity with Microservice Architecture.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Minimum of 5 years of professional, related experience.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\n* Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.\n\n* Experience with:\n\n\n* Meteor.js\n\n* MongoDB\n\n* React.js\n\n* Docker\n\n* Kubernetes\n\n\n\n\n\n* Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.\n\n* Dev/Ops Experience with Linux, BASH, Python.\n\n\n\n\nIDS’s competitive benefit package starts you off out on the right foot. Eligibility begins day one.\n\n\n* Health and Well-being - 100% of employee medical and other insurance premiums are paid by IDS.\n\n* Financial Future – 401(k) with an industry leading match and no waiting period. You are fully vested in all contributions from the start.\n\n* Paid Leave - Generous time off accruals for you to take paid leave, totaling five weeks.\n\n* Professional Development – networking opportunities, informal mentoring, education reimbursement and access to thousands of online professional development resources.\n\n* Casual, fun, and supportive work environment with all the tools and amenities you need to thrive.\n\n\n\n\nMust be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing. Most positions require ability to work on a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time. Computer activities include reading, reviewing and analyzing information, as well as providing recommendations, summaries, and reports in written or verbal format. Additionally, positions require ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; as well as speak and hear.\n\nEmployee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.\n\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by federal, state, and local law.\n\nIf you are unable to apply through the portal and need to speak to someone about necessary accommodations to apply, please email [email protected] and we will follow up with you. Do not submit resumes and applications through this email. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to JavaScript, Full Stack, Developer, Digital Nomad, Jira, Video, Education, Git, API, Mobile, Senior, Medical and Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n

\nOscatel is hiring a Full Stack Developer, working in Node.js, Python or Go, to design and implement solutions for a range of projects that underpin operational services for mobile carriers.\n\nWe're an established software provider that's bringing development back in house. We're building modular, containerised, solutions - many of which will become long-term products - mainly around operational support services for carriers.\n\nThe domain entails data-intensive services where security, data integrity and uptime are key. This presents lots of interesting coding challenges as we build and integrate our technology. \n\nYou can anticipate a mix of well-defined greenfield projects, initially focused on implementing the web application for a large customer deliverable, along with substantial exploratory work as we validate concepts and build new solutions, maturing these into products. \n\nWe offer a culture where you may work under your own initiative as part of a collaborative effort towards common goals. It's an opportunity to be a formative team member, and to grow and improve together.\n\nEarly projects within the team\n\n\n* Actively contributing to improve our development culture, methods and automation\n\n* Building core services in Node.js, Python and Go using GraphQL and gRPC\n\n* Develop process focussed admin consoles and dashboards for internal and external clients\n\n* Representing comprehensive data from analytics and alerting tools\n\n\n\n\nWe're looking for\n\n\n* Someone able to write code that's efficient, robust, documented and well tested\n\n* Solid theoretical foundations, either through education (e.g. Computer Science) or practice\n\n* Proven back end coding skills using Node.js, Python or Go\n\n* Web service writing skills, and familiarity with relational databases e.g. MySQL or PostgreSQL\n\n* Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, accrued in a modern web application context\n\n* Familiarity with a current JS framework: React/Next.js, Vue.js, Angular etc\n\n* Broad understanding of unit, service and integration testing\n\n* Ability to understand complex requirements, to uphold security of sensitive data and to conform to best practices\n\n* Someone considering mid level full stack jobs in Bristol such as: Full Stack Developer | Node.js Developer | Python Developer | Go Developer | JavaScript Developer | TypeScript Developer | React Developer etc.\n\n\n\n\nCurrent ecosystem - we'll welcome your influence\n\nNode.js | Python | Go | JavaScript, TypeScript | React/Next.js | GraphQL | gRPC | Elasticsearch | RabbitMQ | Kubernetes | Docker | AWS | Linux | Terraform\n\nSalary and benefits\n\n\n* £45,000 - £60,000+ we're keeping an open mind\n\n* 25 days holiday, plus public holidays and a day for your birthday\n\n* Flexible and remote working - tell us what you need\n\n* Personal development plan that you can shape, with budget for related training/certifications\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to JavaScript, Python, Node, Golang, Full Stack, Developer, Digital Nomad, React, Education, Elasticsearch, Angular, Admin, Mobile and Linux jobs that are similar:\n\n $65,000 — $120,000/year\n
