\nData Processing Engineer– Emphasis on Elasticsearch / MongoDB / JSON / XML\n\nThe Opportunity:\n\nWe are looking for a Data Processing Engineer based in Phoenix Az with 2-3 years software engineering experience. For the right candidate remote work is a possibility with travel to Arizona several times per year.\n\nYou'll be developing and deploying tools for the processing and import/export of data into and out of large scale Elasticsearch and Hadoop environments.\n\nThe Day to Day:\n\n\n * Work to customer requirements for the import and export of data into various formats \n\n * Develop tools to automate this processing on a regular basis \n\n * Participate as a member of the application development team \n\n * Build back-end frameworks that are maintainable, flexible and scaleable\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n * 2-3 years of programming experience in Javascript (Node.js), Python, Ruby or Go\n\n * Experience working with any of Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL or Hadoop\n\n * Strong preference for Elasticsearch experience with Logstash and Kibana\n\n * Experience working with data in JSON, XML and CSV data formats\n\n * Comfort doing development work on the Linux platform\n\n * Exposure to compute clusters and working with many terabytes of data \n\n * US Citizenship / Work Authorization\n\n\n\n\nBonus Points:\n\n \n * Operational experience with Hadoop, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or other distributed big data systems\n\n * Mac OS X familiarity \n\n * BS or MS in a technology or scientific field of study\n\n * High energy level and pleasant, positive attitude!\n\n * Evidence of working well within a diverse team\n\n\n\n\nCompensation:\n\n\n * Salary commensurate with experience, generally higher than competitive industries\n\n * Comprehensive benefits package\n\n * Opportunities for advancement and a clear career path\n\n\n\n\nAbout Us:\n\nTerascope provides hosting and technical services for multi-terabyte scale Elasticsearch clusters.
