Using a unique personal behavioral map which is created and updated frequently after each transaction.\n\nWe are fully remote team at the moment and so communication is really important, we use Slack to make it easier and we also have regular video conference calls.\n\nThe role\n\nโข 1 Data Scientist\n\nWe are looking for an individual who has a strong coding background in Python. The role requires working with all kind of libraries such as Tensorflow, Scikit-learn etc. Our primary focus is building statistical models as well as utilising machine learning and/or deep learning. Data manipulation skills in SQL based toolsets are also essential as is the ability to work with APIs (including defining APIs for Data science applications). As part of a small team of developers, data scientists, and infectious disease scientists, you’ll develop tools to support EcoHealth Alliance’s mission in conservation and global public health. The focus of this position will be to develop global health web platforms that are actively used to monitor global emerging infectious diseases, and that contribute to the analysis of disease emergence.\n\nDescription and Responsibilities \n\nWe are looking to build a diverse team with a variety of skill sets and backgrounds. Position duties may include:\n\n\n* Contributing to open source software; mobile app development, building front-end(s) for web frameworks (e.g., Meteor)Data and text mining\n\n* Designing scientific visualizations\n\n* Geo-tagging and geo-visualization\n\n* Network modeling\n\n* Contributing to technical project management\n\n* Some collaborative proposal development.\n\n* Developing natural language processing and machine learning systems\n\n\n\n\nWe mostly code in CoffeeScript, JavaScript, and Python and use Meteor for web apps and AWS for hosting.
