Remote Director of Business Operations
\nWe are looking for a Director of Business Operations to join the Moonsong Labs team and help support our business and financial operations. Moonsong Labs is a web3 protocol engineering services and venture studio business. We have deep expertise in developing software to support blockchain implementations. Our venture studio incubates new projects building developer infrastructure protocols. We are best known for our work on the project Moonbeam, a parachain that is part of the Polkadot network that implements an Ethereum compatible environment and natively supports cross chain use cases.\n\n\nThe ideal candidate has experience with financial analysis, planning, and operations, but is also willing to play a supporting role across legal, hr, and other operational areas. Knowledge of the blockchain and crypto space is highly desirable as is experience working in a high tech or software environment. An MBA or CPA is also preferred but not required. \n\n\nA successful candidate will get the opportunity to shape and develop the business operations function of a leading company in web3 and crypto space, with a reputation for shipping and incubating highly secure and functional protocol software projects. Reach out to us if you are interested in helping to drive a future, where blockchains enable new, software native, and decentralized ways of coordinating human activity.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you'll do:\n* Maintain and enhance the Moonsong Labs financial model.\n* Support our accountants and service providers with data inputs, analysis, and validation.\n* Manage service providers including outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, legal, IT, devops, and others.\n* Support contracting process for customer, grant, vendor, and other agreements.\n* Assist with HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee inquiries.\n* Support Engineering Services as needed with operational support, policy / process implementation, and other needs.\n* Support incubated projects in the Venture Studio with formation, business operations, and other needs.\n* Communicate regularly and clearly with other team members and also with other customers and vendors.\n\n\n\nWhat you'll bring\n* Undergraduate degree required, MBA or CPA preferred.\n* Experience creating and maintaining financial models and reports.\n* 3-5 years of relevant working experience.\n* Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate opportunities from a business and financial perspective.\n* Good writing skills with an ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible way.\n* Must be efficient in Excel and have a basic understanding of programming concepts.\n* Interest in the crypto and blockchain space.\n* Hands-on experience working with and managing crypto assets is a big plus.\n* Attention to detail while working well under pressure.\n\n\n\nPerks and benefits:\n* 100% Remote\n* Competitive salary and benefits\n* Flexible vacation policy\n* Direct line of access to Managing Partners and senior leadership \n* A flat organizational structure,and the camaraderie of working alongside committed professionals focused on providing dedicated mentorship, respectful feedback, and career advancement\n* Continuous learning\n* Travel and conference stipend each quarter\n\n\n\n\n\nReady to Shape the Future?
