We are looking for top talentโjoin us in disrupting the $100 billion home services market!\n\n**Overview of the Role**\n\nWe are looking for a great devops engineer to join our engineering team. Your primary focus will be the development and operation of server-side logic, troubleshooting and resolving issues in the infrastructure.\n\n**Responsibilities**\n\n* Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software.\n* Write highly organized, maintainable code.\n* Solve difficult problems while continuously learning and improving.\n* Implement security and data protection.\n* Work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems.\n* Help automate and streamline our operations and processes.\n* Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.\n* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, staging and production environments.\n\n**Desired Skills and Experience**\n\nMust have\n* Experience with software and infrastructure security.\n* Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environment and networking.\n* Deeply believe in continuous integration.\n* Experience with monitoring: processes, logs, etc.\n* Good experience with AWS.\n* Strong debugging skills.\n* Strong focus on business outcomes.\n* Have a working schedule that makes you available during the morning Pacific Time.\n* Comfortable working remotely\n\nNice to have\n* Docker experience.\n* Experience managing complex infrastructure.\n* Experience with systems and IT operations\n* Comfort with with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.\n* Familiarity with blue-green deployments, canary releases, feature toggles and other modern deployment techniques.\n* Strong grasp of automation tools.\n* Experience working in a distributed team.\n* Experience with Scrum or other agile development process.\n\nExtra tags: DevOps, AWS, Python, Continuous Integration \n\nPlease mention the words **RULE ELEPHANT ROBOT** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4yNDk=). As a Continuous Integration Engineer, you bridge the gap between Ops and Engineering to implement tools that help us produce, deploy and troubleshoot our products more efficiently.\n\n\nAbout the Role\n\n\n* You’ll be the first member of the team dedicated to DevOps full-time, but you’ll be supported by an Ops team of three and Engineering team of thirteen. One of your most important projects will be to implement rock solid continuous integration and delivery environments.\n\n* You’ll take ownership of the vagrant image(s) used by engineers and work on making sure it mirrors a production environment to the furthest extent possible.\n\n* On a daily basis you’ll be working with the Ops team, coordinating environmental changes and improvements and playing an active role in future planning.\n\n* Job number one is to proactively create tools that help the engineering team deliver faster and deploy high quality work.
