Web App Programmer\nDescription:\nWe are seeking a Web Programmer to build web applications and\nback-end functionality for content managed websites. Renthoop differentiates from other websites by promoting transparency and community in the college rental market. Our startup is looking for a programmer immediately, we look forward to hearing from you.\n\nDuties:\n- Develop, test, and support Ruby on Rails, PHP and Java web applications.\n- Develop and customize e-commerce websites often employing tools such as\nSpree Commerce, Prestashop, or Magento.\n- Utilize and develop APIs to build applications and connect diverse systems such\nas CRM, e-commerce, accounting and messaging systems or services.\n- Develop back-end and extended functionality for Drupal, WordPress, and\nJoomla CMS websites.\n- Willingness and aptitude to move seamlessly between multiple programming\nlanguages, frameworks, and platforms.\n- Bring your own expertise to share with the staff and add to your experience by\nlearning from others in a collaborative environment.\n- Administration and support of client sites hosted under Windows and Linux.Requirements:\n\n- Experience in Ruby, PHP, and / or Java\n- Experience using MVC frameworks like Rails, Cake, and / or Django\n- Knows agile development practices, and is excited to\nuse them.\n- Understanding of SQL and data modeling.\n- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nDesired skills\nThese are considered bonuses, please apply even if you have all of the\nrequirements and none of these.\n- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and / or JQuery\n- Experience with Vagrant as a virtual development environment\n- Experience using Linux / Unix operating systems\n- A fan of using and contributing to open source \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
