Expectations:ย
Write high-quality, easy-to-read Ruby and Javascript code
Troubleshoot, identify, and fix performance issues and bugs
Perform regular updates of libraries, frameworks, and other technical components
Build end-to-end experiences from user interaction on the front-end, data modeling on the back-end, and performance monitoring
Brainstorm, collaborate, and implement new features, especially in the area of user interface & user experience
Implement features to make your teammatesโ jobs easier, such as creating reports or eliminating repetitive tasks
Communicate clearly and thoughtfullyย about your ideas and the work you are doing
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years of experience developing software professionallyย
A deep understanding of Ruby on Rails, typical of someone with about 5 years of experience
Extensive experience with front-end web technologies (i.e. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience with PostgreSQL and comfortable writing SQL queries.
Strong adherence to testing

As a member of the engineering team, you will work with others in design, marketing, and merchandising in order to define and prioritize work. Pair programming with other engineers to facilitate "thinking out loud" about problems and solutions is a regular part of our development process. You'll play an integral role in our build, measure, learn feedback loop by running experiments that test our hypotheses.

Your job with us
As a developer in our magic team you will collaborate with a diverse range of people working to support the ongoing development of our magical product. Depending on the skills you bring along you develop our React based frontend further and or our Java Spring based backend. We are fully cloud native and run our platform in a Kubernetes environment in the Google Cloud.
Ideally you bring with you
Experience as a Developer
Good understanding of either React and/or Java Spring
Working in a distributed based team
Agile mindset to understand when it's time to ship
English communication skills in written and verbal form
