We'd love to have a chat to see what skills/experiences you are able to bring to this team.\n\nMediafly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help us build out our integrations and data pipeline architecture.\n\nResponsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer:\n•You will be working with a team of experienced engineers to develop integrations and data-processing solutions, primarily using Python\n•You will be working within the context of an existing Python codebase to improve data quality, throughput, and reliability\n•You will be porting some older code and writing some new code in Kotlin. \n•You will be helping your team implement modern best practices in areas such as data pipeline architecture, database design and maintenance, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and scaling cloud based data processing\n•You will have ownership over major product features, yet work closely enough with other team members to avoid major “silos of knowledge”\n•You will work collaboratively with other software engineers, and product owners to help see features through from idea to release\n\nYou will be successful in this role if:\n•You are a highly motivated coder with at least 5+ years of professional experience\n•You have a passion for building and scaling modern architectures to process terabytes of data\n•You are an experienced Python developer who also appreciates the benefits of static typing and pre-compiled languages; JVM or Kotlin experience isn’t necessary, as you can cross-train into these skills over your first few months in the job\n•You have a working understanding of relational databases and of efficient interaction with large database tables\n•You do your work with passion, not ego\n•You enjoy collaboration, yet are an independent thinker and producer\n•You have expertise you are willing to share with the team, and are open to learning from the expertise of others on the team\n•You have the ability to provide constructive coding and architecture feedback\n•You have interest and desire to stay informed of the latest technology and approaches\n\nNice-to-have technical skills:\n•JVM languages such as Java, Scala or Kotlin. \n•Experience accessing and writing client code for third party APIs\n•ElasticSearch or SolrVideo and/or audio conversion toolchains\n•Audio analysis libraries and toolsExperience working with data science libraries\n\nWhy Mediafly?\n• Remote based in US\n• Generous PTO\n• Competitive Salary\n• 401K Retirement Plan\n• Transparent Career Paths\n• Medical, Dental, Vision\n• 12 Paid Holidays\n• Paid Parental Leave\n• Remote Stipend\n\nProfessional development is a top priority here at Mediafly!
