Whatnot has been the fastest growing marketplace in the US over the past two years and we’re hiring forward-thinking problem solvers across all functional areas. \n💻 Role\n\nAs part of the Developer Productivity team, you will be responsible for building and enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction of Whatnot’s engineering teams. Your mission includes crafting seamless workflows, automating tedious tasks, and unleashing the full potential of our talented developers.\n\n\n* Maintain an efficient CI/CD pipeline to help developers ship the software faster and safer in a structured environment.\n\n* Build local environment tooling to enable the engineering team to build and test product features swiftly and safely.\n\n* Work with the engineering team to get services deployed across different environments.\n\n* Implement and optimize developer workflow to reduce friction and increase productivity.\n\n* Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements.\n\n\n\n👋 You\n\nCurious about who thrives at Whatnot? We’ve found that low ego, a growth mindset, and leaning into action and high impact goes a long way here.\n\nAs our next Developer Productivity Engineer, you should have 5+ years of developer productivity or similar experience, helping build scalable systems that can handle millions of users, plus:\n\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.\n\n* Excellent developer experience instincts. You first think about engineer experience rather than the best technical solution.\n\n* Previous experience at a hyper-growth startup. You’re a self-starter who can hit the ground running with little direction.\n\n* Prior experience in a public cloud environment (AWS, GCP) using Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Terraform.\n\n* Expert knowledge of various CI/CD workflows.\n\n* Exceptional coding skills and the ability to ship lightning-fast.
