What is the job?
Looking for challenging responsibilities in the most promising tech industry? Join us as the first QA Automation Engineer (in this particular product team) in the crypto financial industry, and you will get the most out of using new technologies and test methods.
You will accelerate your career and constantly improve technically by tackling these issues and being able to utilize the personal ยฃ2000/year budget for learning & development.
You will challenge all user scenarios and test cases to investigate all possibilities of failure across a range of Web apps, and API applications. You will make sure that happy path scenarios function as advertised, and that a massive array of potential error conditions all fail gracefully, predictably and in a meaningful way to end users.ย
During your first few months, you will start by defining the tools and frameworks required to have a complete suite of automated tests. This will involve diving into the applications features and functionality, rolling up your sleeves doing manual testing. With a better understanding under your belt, you will define test plans that can beย automated and cover UI and API testing, as well as testing failures in any of the subsystems, including databases, third-party services or other internal services.
What are we looking for?
You enjoy automating everything, the thought of repeating tasks manually makes you shiver, but you understand the need to do exploratory manual testing to create test plans.
You have experience testing Web apps, APIs applications in a fast delivering growth environment.
You are a hands-on, independent product tester with experience working in a multidisciplinary team formed of designers, Front and Backend developers and DevOps.
Youโre patient when dealing with others. Youโre a good listener, and happy to be a teacher when needed.
What skills do you need?
You have solid demonstrable experience as a QA Automation Engineer doing end-to-end testing.
You love breaking things and let your creativity go wild (e.g. functional and black-box testing, regression testing, system integration testing, load testing, manual testing).
You are proficient in at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, C#, Java or JavaScript.
Experience with BDD, TDD, or contract testing.
Docker and Git experience is important.
You have good knowledge and understanding of CI/CD cycles and integration test automation with CI/CD.
Who are we?ย
At RDX Works, weโre a team of like-minded thinkers who have long been convinced that weโre living in the earliest stages of a global financial revolution. This revolution is being fuelled by decentralized finance (or DeFi for short), which is enabling an assortment of pioneering developers and entrepreneurs to re-invent almost every financial product that is currently traded and invested in traditional markets, without requiring central authorities or siloed infrastructure. DeFi has captured a great deal of attention and investment in the crypto-aware niche, growing assets under management from $1 billion to over $200ย billion in a few years. Impressive as its growth has been, its current market size isnโt even a rounding error on the over $400 trillion held in traditional finance. Weโre focused on what it will take to go from billions to trillions.
RDX went back to first principles to come up with the right technical solutionโthe first layer-one protocol built specifically for mainstream DeFiโand we have already tested out at over 1 million transactions per second. Weโre keenly aware that the need for an infinitely scalable platform is only one prerequisite among many for mass adoption, and weโre also blazing new ground in the areas of purpose-built developer tools, user experiences, and regulatory integration.
We have forged a path deep into the future of what distributed ledger technology is going to look like and we need you to come and be part of the team that is making that happen right now.
If this job sounds like it was made for you, then please apply directly via the link or email [email protected] for more information.
Alternatively, if you feel like you donโt match all of the requirements, we would love you to still apply anyway. We understand that confidence gaps and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting incredible candidates and we wouldnโt want this to prevent us from meeting you; especially as we are big advocates of helping people learn & grow. This is also another reason we do not advertise salaries, we want to keep it as even a playing field as possible!

What is the job?
No matter how powerful and flexible you build a platform, at the end of the day itโs the tools and services you present to the user that define the experience. Radix is seeking a veteran, .NET developer to build the systems that will define the future of decentralized finance (DeFi).
DeFi has turned out to be the killer app that is taking public distributed ledgers from niche products for speculators and hobbyists to projects of global economic significance, and with it has come a new paradigm for user experiences. Authentication models, interoperability expectations, and the entire concept of user accounts are all undergoing dramatic changes; at Radix youโll have the opportunity to define the way forward while working at the very cutting edge of a space undergoing furious growth
Working from a coherent vision, step by step you will turn requirements into top-notch products working with ace developers and testers through rapid cycles of implementation, feedback gathering, and tuning to produce delightful results. You will come face to face with all the nuances and complexities of asynchronous processing of payment transactions. No architectural decision will be made without your participation. Constant challenges will become an integral part of your working day and boring coding will remain a scary memory.
About you
You are adept at going from problem statements to solution design, and then breaking that high level design down into discrete segments of useful work.
You have a good instinctual feel for the complexity of a development problem, and can quickly determine which things will be risky/challenging and which should be straightforward.
Once you understand a system concept, you are able to identify the highest value area to work on next. You can work towards a desired end state and come up with your own tasks to achieve it along the way.
You have released and maintained consumer-facing things in the past; your history is not limited to internal business applications or implement-and-handoff contracting engagements.
You are a high output developer. You make rapid progress when building out systems.
Youโre intelligent and learn quickly. Absolutely no one at Radix winds up only doing whatโs in their job description, and adaptability is essential.
What do you need?
5+ years as a professional software engineer
Fluent in C#/.NET
Comfortable at any place in the tech stack above the OS level
Familiarity with the current crypto ecosystem is a plus, but not required. When youโre here, youโll learn a ton about it either way!

By joining Swarm Technologies, you'll be joining a dynamic team on the bleeding edge of information (computer) security and blockchain - answering questions few have thought to ask.\n\n**If you're interested in**\n- technical challenges that cannot be solved via iteration\n- blockchain (Ethereum smart contracts in particular)\n- information security\n- malware reverse engineering automation\n- market design (a la Who Gets What and Why by Alvin Roth)\n- software development\n- unknown unknowns\n\n**then we're interested in you!**\n\n**The Ideal Candidate Is:**\n- independently motivated & self-directing\n- introspective: able to identify weak spots / problem areas our existing processes or code and suggest / implement solutions\n- takes an interest in information security topics - huge props for capture the flag (CTF) participation!\n- enjoys developing software\n\n**At Swarm Technologies, you'll tackle both big-picture and tactical problems, the following are a few examples.**\n\n**Example Big-Picture Problems**\n\nThe Ethereum block time leaves a lot to be desired for a marketplace that intends to supplant millions of malware scans a day.\n\nHow do we best reconcile millions of scans daily with a 15 second block time and today's block size limits?\n\nIn sum: PolySwarm must scale and must support scanning artifacts (files) that may contain confidential information. How do we best reconcile these needs with a default-public, Proof-of-Work Ethereum ecosystem?\n\n**Example Tactical Problem**\n\nPolySwarm is a twist on a prediction market - where security experts attempt to "predict" whether a file / URL or network traffic is malicious or benign. Alongside their prediction ("assertion"), experts "stake" a configurable amount of Nectar (NCT), PolySwarm's crypto token.\n\nSuppose Expert A is lazy and Expert B is a hardworking, upstanding security expert. It would be bad if Expert A was able to simply duplicate the assertions coming from Expert B, exploiting Expert B's hard work for profit. If assertions are placed directly on the public Ethereum blockchain, Expert A can do exactly that.\n\nHow can we design a system that keeps the assertion secret (so Expert B is out of luck) until some configured time, after which assertions are revealed and payouts distributed appropriately?\n\n**The Ideal Candidate possesses demonstrable experience in some or all of these technologies.**\n\nPolySwarm employs the following tools & languages:\nPython\nDocker (+ Swarm, Services, Stack)\nKubernetes (+ Helm)\nTerraform\nAnsible\nSolidity\nReact\nJavaScript\nRust\n\nRefer to our GitHub for examples of our usage: https://github.com/polyswarm\n\n**We Offer**\n- Competitive salaries\n- Excellent health, dental, vision coverage\n- Paid vacation days\n- Travel (if you like). We have offices in San Diego, Puerto Rico and Tokyo and we often find ourselves travelling elsewhere. If travel interests you, we can scratch that itch.\n- Flexible work hours - outside of scheduled meetings, we don't care when you work, we care about your output.\n- Powerful servers, laptops, desktops - whatever you need to be most productive! \n\nPlease mention the words **PLUG POTATO EASILY** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMDc=). \nCryptocurrency Software Engineer\n\nAre you interested in working with a hard-core team of brilliant engineers on a technology that could change the world? Tired of corporate awareness training, pointless meetings, bloviating managers, and political games? Looking for an environment that hires great engineers, gives them the tools to do great things, and expects them to do so?\n\nPyrofex is hiring. Come do your best work.\n\nAbout Us\n\nPyrofex Corporation is one of Utah Valley's newest cryptocurrency startups. Founded in the Spring of 2016 by ex-Googlers Mike Stay and Nash Foster, Pyrofex is working hard to create the next-generation of blockchain platforms and decentralized applications.\n\nAbout You\n\nAt Pyrofex, we hire for strength, and not for lack of weakness. We hire for capability and talent, not specific knowledge of a tool or language. We believe real innovation requires constant learning and learning requires constant failure. Nobody learns to ride a bike until they skin their knee. One of our founders has a Ph.D., but the other one dropped out of college. (Twice!) The path we've taken to get this far is unique and we suspect the same will be true of our best employees.\n\nPyrofex hires engineers at all levels of experience—from current students, to recent graduates, to academics, to engineers with decades of experience. We are particularly interested in programmers that have knowledge of functional programming, a background in computer science, and can program in Scala. However, if you think this job is a fit for you, we're willing to take a look.\n\nAbout the Job\n\nWe are currently hiring Software Engineers to help us deliver the RChain platform, which is written in Scala. Developers on this team will design, implement, test, deploy, and manage a large-scale global software system using Linux, Scala, the JVM, C/C++, and Python.\n\nDesign and architecture requires you to work well with others, take their amorphous sets of needs and use cases, and distill these into written designs and specifications. Good implementations require a fastidious attention to detail, knowledge of your programming tools, and the ability to produce working, correct code on the regular. Pyrofex builds cryptocurrency systems and large-scale distributed and decentralized applications. Five years ago, we thought things like SRE and DevOps would make it clear what "deploy and manage" meant for the future, and now we know we were wrong. The future is changing too fast and our job is to try to keep up. That said, from time to time, we all have to get out of bed at 2AM to deal with something broken.\n\nIf this sounds good to you, then e-mail us at [email protected] with the subject line, "AWWWWWW YEAH SIGN ME UP." We would like to see a resume or your linkedin profile. We would enjoy a cover letter in which you tell us about your work ethic and your favorite project. If you can send us examples of your code, that would be most excellent. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
