We practice complete ownership, where everyone goes the extra mile to own outcomes into success. We understand that unflinching focus is a superpower and is how we channel our activity into technological achievements for the benefit of our entire ecosystem. We embrace open dialogue and critical feedback to arrive at an accurate and truthful picture of reality that promotes both personal and organizational growth.\nAbout Chainlink Labs\nChainlink is the industry standard oracle network for connecting smart contracts to the real world. With Chainlink, developers can build hybrid smart contracts that combine on-chain code with an extensive collection of secure off-chain services powered by Decentralized Oracle Networks. Managed by a global, decentralized community of hundreds of thousands of people, Chainlink is introducing a fairer model for contracts. Its network currently secures billions of dollars in value for smart contracts across the decentralized finance (DeFi), insurance, and gaming ecosystems, among others. The full vision of the Chainlink Network can be found in theย Chainlink 2.0 whitepaper. Chainlink is trusted by hundreds of organizationsโ€”from global enterprises to projects at the forefront of the blockchain economyโ€”to deliver definitive truth via secure, reliable data.ย ย \nThis role is location agnostic anywhere in the world, but we ask that you overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).\nWe are a fully distributed team and have the tools and benefits to support you in your remote work environment.\nChainlink Labs is an Equal Opportunity Employer.\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Solidity, Testing, Finance, Senior, Golang, Engineer, Backend and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n

\nNexus Mutual is an on-chain risk marketplace operated by and for members. Our mission is to build an ecosystem in which anyone can protect anyone else by sharing risk. The mutual launched in 2019 and has become the leading coverage provider within the DeFi ecosystem with more than $7.3m in claims have been paid to date.\n\n\n\n\nThe protocol provides a decentralized, transparent alternative to traditional insurance companies. The economic incentives within the mutual solve the centralized insurance industry's core problem: the principal-agent problem.\n\n\nWhat we are looking forย \n\n\n\nWe are looking for a Smart Contract Engineer who can help us buildย the premier on-chain risk marketplace for DeFi, CeFi and beyond. You can learn more about us here: Twitter, Discord, Github. Someone who can writeย and deploy complex smart contract logic, a team player that will workย alongside our group on designing and implementing product functionalities, and the core mechanisms that power Nexus.\n\n\n\n\nOur team is working with web3 technologies across the stack. The ideal person is someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, ย has a good understanding of Web3 primitives,ย is passionate about building scalable applications, and highly curious about DeFi and Crypto.\n\n\n\nApp layer: React.js, Redux, ReduxSaga, Reselect, GraphQL, Node.js, TypeScript, AssemblyScript, MongoDB\n\nWeb3: Solidity, OpenZeppelin, Chainlink oracles, Hardhat, Mocha, Chai, Tenderly, IPFS, The Graph, Ethers.js, Web3-onboard.js\n\nInfrastructure: AWS, CircleCI, Coveralls, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus\n\n\n\nAreas you'll contribute to\n\n\n* Writing and compiling Solidity Smart Contracts, including quirks and edge cases\n\n* Ethereum testnets and contract deployment scripts\n\n* Integrate with and fetch data from Oracles and The Graph\n\n* Assuring blockchain and web-client integrationย \n\n* Containerization of backend services\n\n\n\n\n\n* 1 year of Solidity development experience and experience with some of our tech stack, like Hardhat, Node.js, Typescript, Ethers.JS, Node.JS, IPFS.\n\n* Understanding of The Graph, Oracles, and the broader web3 tech stack\n\n* Knowledge of common smart contract development design patterns, industry standards (ERCs and EIPs), and best practices. Understand typical smart contract problems like reentrancy, migrations, and upgradeability of immutable systems.\n\n* Over 3 years of backend engineering and proficiency in languages like C++, Python, JavaScript, Typescript, C# or Core Java\n\n* Obsession with clean and secure code and a tendency to test your own work\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will stand out if\n\n\n* You have expertise or interest in tokenomics, game theory, L2s, and DeFi protocols\n\n* You are self-motivated and eager to keep up with the fast pace of a small, remote startup team.\n\n* You have a low-ego attitude are willing to learn, grow and have product ownership.\n\n* You have an understanding of layer 2 protocols, bridges and blockchain interoperability\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout us\n\n\n* We are a small and dynamic team, passion for our work describes and sets the tone for everything that we do.\n\n* We are a fully remote organisation that strives to pave the way for the future of insurance\n\n* Our compensation package is comprised of a competitive fixed (fiat component) plus a generous token allocation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy are we doing this?\n\nThe concept of insurance comes from communities in the past that pooled their resources to protect each other from the risks they all faced. It works better the more people are in the pool as the numbers become more reliable. But this method isnโ€™t scalable because it is a trust-based system and the network of individuals trusted by everyone in the pool only extends so far. Hence traditional insurance companies emerged.\n\nWhen Ethereum and smart contracts came along we realized we could apply our insurance industry knowledge to our passion for decentralised technology. We realized we could build a mutual on a platform where individuals only need to trust the system, not everyone in it.\n\n\n\n\nSpecifically, we could see a solution to the problem of agencyโ€”where an insurer looks after customers' money on their behalf. We also saw the opportunity to make significant cost savings compared to the traditional insurance model. As weโ€™re already in the UK, we have the perfect base to build out this concept due to the existing law around mutuality.\n\n\n\n\nThe aim is to provide our members with more simple, transparent, accessible, and affordable financial protection against their risks.\n\nMore info here ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://nexusmutual.gitbook.io/docs/welcome/faq/nexus-mutual-the-basics \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Solidity, Design, Web3, Defi, Engineer, Backend and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nRemote job

About Us\n\n\nUsher is developing the Partnerships protocol for Web3. Commerce thrives on recommendations and word of mouth. The eCommerce, Travel, Finance and SaaS industries have already proven that incentivised word of mouth works. Commission Junction, Impact.com and other partnership platforms have delivered on this value proposition for Web2. Weโ€™re on a mission to bring this very same value proposition to businesses developing on decentralised networks, such as NFT brands and marketplaces, DeFi protocols, dApps, Blockchains and all other Web3 brands.\n\n\nWeโ€™re an early-stage startup backed by the likes of Arweave & Awin, building decentralised technology that enables Referral, Affiliate and Reseller programs for Web3 businesses.\n\n\nThe founder has engineering experience at startups, some that are now publicly listed, and has project and talent management experience from operating a software studio.\n\n\nOur customers can be any business across the world capable of funding their partner programs with cryptocurrencies.\n\nAbout the role\n\n\nWe are looking for early engineers to join us and build the platform alongside the founding team.\n\n\nThis person will be an extension of the founder, capable of bringing ideas, fast-paced energy and a company-building vision to the table.\n\n\nFounding engineers should consider themselves as owners of the platform, putting aside the distractions of the world to be a part of a team that is building toward the future.\n\n\nAs the earliest team member(s), there is a high degree of responsibility involved with the role.\n\n\nWe expect early team members to be open-minded about their capability to cross geographies and work alongside their team.\n\n\nAn ideal candidate can cross the entire software stack, has deep enthusiasm and knowledge about the Web3 ecosystem, and has an execution-driven mindset.\n\nYou will have the opportunity to\n\n\n\n * Innovate, the Web3 ecosystem is moving so quickly โ€” the brands we will be working with may lead the industry for years to come\n\n * Actively drive and manage the technology development process, working with the founder to build processes for the engineering team\n\n * Join the company-building journey, working with the founder to source and expand the team\n\n * Combine technical creativity and business acumen, you will illustrate the value that Usherโ€™s platform and Partner Programs can provide\n\n\n\n\nWe would love you to have\n\n\n\n * 1+ years as a Backend/Fullstack developer, DevOps/Infrastructure engineer and/or Solutions & Cloud Architect\n\n * 1+ years experience working within an engineering team, capable of being very responsive for meetings/stand-ups and all other team communications\n\n * Experience in crypto, NFTs and/or decentralised networks and a passion to stay on top of that incredible rate of change\n\n * Comfortable talking about technical concepts and explaining how they work, both from a product feature and architecture perspective\n\n * Experience managing developers and triaging tasks between team members\n\n * Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English\n\n * Self-motivation, high ownership, low ego; a desire to work on a fast-paced, intense, and fun team in person.\n\n\n\n\nSpecific skills that are awesome\n\n\n\n * Typescript & Node.js Experience\n\n * Golang, Rust, Kotlin, or other Backend Developer Languages.\n\n * Software Architecture - Microservice Networking\n\n * Big Data Management and Engineering\n\n * DevOps and Infra experience with Ubuntu, AWS, Docker\n\n * Smart Contract Development in Solidity and/or Rust\n\n * Development of Decentralised Networks\n\n\n\n\nWhy you should join us\n\n\n\n * Have an impact from day 1. You will be working very closely with the founder daily.\n\n * Solve problems your own way. As a software engineer, you get the autonomy to be creative and explore solutions to problems your own way. The founder is a message away for collaboration.\n\n * Own the product - drive the product vision, participate in building the early team and work closely with the users.\n\n\n\n\nAbout the interview\n\n\nIntroduction (30 minutes): This stage is a more informal call for you to learn more about the role, and for you to evaluate whether itโ€™s a good fit for you.\n\n\nWe're looking for people with a strong interest in joining an early-stage startup and working on complex technical challenges in a new industry (Crypto/Web3). In this chat, youโ€™re welcome to ask lots of questions about whether working at Usher makes sense for you.\n\n\nThis conversation will also cover some light technical discussion about your past projects. Mostly, we want to know that you can code and ship fairly involved systems, and speak to them with clarity on the details. This tends to be a good indication that a software developer had strong ownership and showed autonomy in making the product or technical decisions.\n\n\nTechnical Assessment (5 hours take-home exercise or 1-2 hour screen): The next step of the interview process is a fun take-home exercise. Completing this exercise helps accelerate our decision and allows us to focus later interviews on discussing your solution and a couple โ€œsystems designโ€ questions. We make ourselves available to answer any questions for this challenge to make it feel collaborative and ensure you get something out of it.\n\n\nIf you do not have the bandwidth to complete the take-home exercise, we're open to scheduling at least one, one-hour technical screen instead where we will cover a systems design questions and a white-boarding/coding exercise.\n\n\nInterview (1 hour): The interview is a deeper dive into technical abilities and overall fit.\n\n\nFor the "technical" portion, we will cover\n\n\n\n * \nSystems design questions: we will look for familiarity and your ability to identify trade-offs with building systems, specifically those that collect, store, and present data.\n\n * \nWhite-boarding/coding exercises: we're interested in seeing how you approach problems, specifically how you write, test, and debug solutions, and identify tradeoffs.\n\n\n\n\n\nFor the โ€œfitโ€ portion, we look for examples of ownership and autonomy, but also dig deeper into communication (i.e. how you communicate your approach, solutions, and overall thinking).\n\n\nThe interview is 1 hour long, with 50 minutes allocated for the technical portion, and 10 minutes for Q&A.\n\n\nFollow-Up Interview(s) (up to 4 hours): The follow-up interview(s) are more informal versions of the core interview.\n\n\nWithin these follow-up interviews, additional technical questions and exercises will be conducted at random introducing concepts and technical challenges associated with the platform.\n\n\nCandid discussions may also be held to determine your requirements for working on Usher at your best.\n\n\nIdeally, these follow-ups should establish a basis for collaboration between you and the founder.\n\n\nEach follow-up interview will be up to an hour long.\n\n\nDecisions may occur anytime between the interview and during the follow-up interviews. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, SaaS, Web3, Defi, Solidity, Finance, Cloud, Engineer, Backend and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nRemote; Sydney, Australia
