Our primary customers are healthcare workers who are required to maintain their licenses by taking courses to get CEU’s (continuing education units)\n\nThis project has a frontend served with node, built with angular 2+ which consumes our backend application via RESTful API maintained by other team members. The backend is mostly php but you won’t need to touch that unless you really want to.\n\nWhat you will be doing\n\n\n* Adding new features to our LMS frontend application. This includes all UI/UX, design to development.\n\n* Meet with stakeholders to understand our clients needs and propose solutions.\n\n* Design functional user interfaces to meet those needs\n\n* You bring your own unique skill set to\nthe table and collaborate with others to accomplish your goals.\n\n* Develop components backed by tests, code quality and tests are HIGHLY valued here, you will have time to make sure it is done right!\n\n* Cleaning existing tightly coupled components that where not done right the first time…\n\n* Migrate old features out of the legacy application. \nScalable Path is looking for an Expert Frontend React/Redux Developer to join the team and work on a client project. This is a remote, full-time position.\n\nCLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:\nThe client operates a popular software for cannabis industry compliance. Is the fastest-growing Seed to Sale Cannabis tracking platform in the US. They help cannabis business owners by providing seamless integration with their California State reporting system to monitor inventory, prevent diversion, and collect taxes. About 1,000 cannabis operators currently use the product.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe client needs to modernize and rebuild the frontend of a legacy AngularJS app in React/Redux in a very rapid/iterative fashion. The UX will not change a lot, but new, modern frontend technologies will be used. There are existing REST APIs (powered by ASP.Net v4) which can power much of functionality, and there will be dedicated backend developers available to improve APIs as necessary to ensure smooth/clear contracts between frontend and backend. The client is also considering wrapping the backend REST APIs in GraphQL so that the frontend code can use GraphQL queries as opposed to REST queries.\n\nYour responsibility will be modernizing the frontend of the Application using React and Redux.\n\nThe client would really like to build the new frontend using TypeScript, but if they can't find developers quickly enough who know TypeScript, they may be open to using regular JavaScript.\n\nThey are currently using the Semantic UI frontend framework, but they are concerned with the long-term maintenance of that framework and are open to moving to Bootstrap or Material UI.\n\nThe entire React application will be deployed to Firebase as a static application (no server-side rendering needed).\n\nThe client is using Jira for project management and Git (Bitbucket) for source control.\n\nRELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:\nYou'll be reporting to a Lead Engineer and working with two backend engineers, a designer, and a product owner. \nWe are hiring for a Frontend Architect who can work alongside our designers and full stack developers to create an well structured and visually consistent design system for our app. This position would be in our product development division, which is building out several new products for our main app, BriteCore. We are interested in building a team of frontend experts who could assist our full stack developers in working with our design system. This position would be the lead position on this team.\n\nThe kind of work we do\n\nBriteCore is essentially a CMS for insurance companies. They use it to manage all aspects of their business, including tracking policies, managing contacts and handling claims. This means our users typically see our app more as a business tool like Microsoft Word or Google Sheets than a website (even though it is completely a web-based app). They also are using BriteCore for several hours every day, and are concerned with doing things quickly and efficiently. This, along with the complicated nature of insurance, means we deal with some complex workflows, and try to set ourselves apart from our competitors with a smooth UX that helps them navigate these tough processes.\n\nWhat you might be doing\n\nTraditionally at BriteCore, full stack developers have done almost all of the development work. We haven’t been specialized into frontend or backend roles.
