No matter how powerful and flexible you build a platform, at the end of the day it’s the experience you can give the user that matters. Radix is seeking a savvy frontend development expert to help build the tools that will define the future of decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3.0 user experience.
DeFi and Web3.0 have turned out to be the killer apps that are taking public distributed ledgers from niche products for speculators and hobbyists to projects of global economic significance, and with them have come a new paradigm for user interfaces. Authentication models, interoperability expectations, and the entire concept of user accounts are all undergoing dramatic changes; at Radix you’ll have the opportunity to define the way forward while working at the very cutting edge of a space undergoing furious growth.
Your initial focus will be development of full-stack typescript applications and integrated backend services spanning web and mobile devices that get users, their identity, and their assets connected to DeFi and Web3.0 applications on the Radix network. Working from Figma prototypes and pre-defined network APIs you will work within our Core Apps team to build and maintain web applications that interact with our unique mobile app, backend infrastructure to connect web and mobile experiences, and SDKs and technologies that developers will use to create their own web applications that interact with our mobile app.
What are we looking for?
You’re a confident coder who likes to work at the user interface level, and you have built public-facing websites or applications in Typescript in the past.
You’re a generalist, and have experience building REST services and/or WebSocket backends.
You are a researcher and enjoy requirements engineering for SDK development.
You like to actively shape designs and play with ideas as you build, and are comfortable iterating until it feels just right.
You’re able to isolate the 90% case for user experiences.
You think in terms of making the most common interactions effortless, rather than making anything possible.
You’re intelligent and learn quickly. Absolutely no one at Radix winds up only doing what’s in their job description, and adaptability is essential.
What do you need?
4+ years as a professional software engineer in full-stack development
You are fluent in Typescript.
You have SDK development experience.
You know how to work with complex API’s (ideally WebRTC, WebAuthn, etc)
You excel at researching and requirements gathering.
You’re enthusiastic about working in a multidisciplinary team with mobile engineers.

Private Business Network is an enterprise VPN and cyber security solution being developed by the makers of Private Internet Access (PIA), one of the world's leading consumer VPN services. We are building a next-generation cyber security product for SMBs that want the ease-of-use of a consumer VPN (On/Off), but need centralized management, powerful web filtering, and end-to-end encrypted audit logging. The product is currently in internal beta and launching later this summer.\n\n\n\nYour challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to lead the development of the backend VPN infrastructure, custom VPN client/server framework, and cross-platform VPN clients. It is full-stack in the truest sense, with roughly a 75% backend and 25% frontend split, although not in the sense of a traditional web app. The frontend consists of VPN clients using webview technologies (custom, not Electron).
