At Along, we are growing our founding team of passionate makers. We are currently looking for ambitious team players with experience in software development. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a category leader for the future of work and join a fast-growing software startup in the early stages.
You will be responsible for building our software at the intersection of front-end and back-end. As we are a small team currently, you will have the unique chance to become heavily involved in our product development and vision to shape the Along solution from the start. This role is remote first and spending most time +/- 2 hours of the EU timezone or being located in Berlin is a plus.

Your abilities
3+ years working experience as a full-stack software engineer working in a team contributing to a production codebase
A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (design patterns, data structures and algorithms) and software development lifecycle (version control, test automation, etc.)
Experience building web applications and enjoy engaging with product & design while working across both the frontend and backend stack
Experienced in web development, server side development, API architecture and design, data and information architecture
Demonstrated fluency with one or more programming languages such as Dart, JavaScript/Typescript, Go, Python and Java
Experience with software development frameworks such as Flutter, React, Node, Flask & Spring
Experience with cloud engineering and DevOps on cloud platforms (like AWS & Azure) and CI/CD tools like (GitHub, Docker, Terraform)
Proactive communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative environment
An interest in learning from others and digging into new challenges
An inclusive and collaborative attitude towards building features, solving problems, and growing teams
Taking ownership is key. We rely on you to own projects
