We also integrate with some customers, so even if we use AWS Internally, we integrate with Azure and other Cloud providers, to give as much value to our customers as possible, as long as we follow a standard and do not create custom integration that is only valuable for one customer. \n\n\nSound like something for you?\n\nWe are a a startup, currently 18 people, most of the people work on the tech side, in addition to the backend team we have a 3 other teams, Web, Android and iOS.\n\nWe have a based in Oslo, Norway, but our team is spread across 5 countries and even more nationalities.\n\nWe embrace a Norwegian culture, meaning that you will work 7,5 hours, 5 days a week. \nWe love our jobs, but your family is more important, so a healthy work-life balance is important.\n\nWe also have a 3 month notice period, that works both ways for our remote workers. \nMeaning you know you will have a 3 months of work, even if we have to downscale. You’ll be developing the cloud backend software running on our IoT platform that turns these installations into smart storage devices. You’ll write applications that will bring our cutting-edge energy efficiency algorithms to life, having a real world effect on our customers’ energy savings.\n\nYour Responsibilities\n\nYou will work directly with the Chief Technical Officer and the Director of Controls Development on the following strategic initiatives:\n\n\n* Turn algorithm concepts from our Data Scientist into production software that operates industrial IoT systems in the field.\n\n* Apply optimization and machine learning concepts to build software services, from the IoT edge to the cloud, that improve energy savings.\n\n* Design a cloud service & APIs to connect energy management appliances to clients.\n\n* Implement data processing software for physical analysis.\n\n* Build a web-based analysis platform for generating actionable reports on our system’s performance.\n\n* Generate metrics to drive beautiful & intuitive display of energy savings data in our web apps.\n\n* Many other engineering / software projects not specifically outlined here.\n\n\n\n\nWho You Are\n\n(a general guide - we can bend these rules for an incredible candidate!) \n\n\n* B.S and/or M.S. in computer science, computer engineering, or similar.\n\n* 2+ years of industry experience in software development, testing, and analysis.\n\n* Excellent software design instinct; object orientation should be core to your thinking.
