You will collaborate across multiple team interfaces to understand and overcome logistics, supply chain, and resource challenges to deliver mission-ready products.\n\n\nSpecial Mentions [Edit or remove as needed]\n* Relocation provided\n* Shifts available:\n* Second Shift\n\n\n* Interviews will include a technical assessment\n* Position not eligible for remote work\n\n\n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\n* Maintain design and configuration integrity of complex fluid subsystems (Pressurization, pneumatics, and Hydraulics).\n* Perform repair analysis of fluid and mechanical components (i.e., valves, fins, landing gear, regulators, pressure vessels and instrumentation)\n* Provide technical guidance for structural build and integration of mechanical systems (Doors, flaps, Fins, Landing Gear)\n* Lead efforts to identify, develop, and deploy designs and methodologies that improve operational excellence through quality, cost, design, and process enhancements.\n* Support the manufacturing floor in assembly and installation, compliance to engineering requirements, discrepancy resolution, and component acceptance testing.\n* Perform a hands-on engineering and liaison role between our design, test, and operations teams and our manufacturing customers.\n* Investigate root causes, disposition vehicle discrepancies, and take ownership of preventative and corrective actions.\n* Support the product through design and operational gated reviews by evaluating and aiding in the development of required artifacts.\n* Drive design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA) into the designs\n* Authorize in-build redlines and recommend changes to improve the design.\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n* Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering and 5+ years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.\n* Strong technical understanding of spacecraft or launch vehicle fluid system components such as pneumatics, hydraulic, fluid system, flight controls, landing gears, actuation systems or similar kinematics mechanism.\n* Interpreting Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).\n* Familiarity with typical aerospace hydraulic standards and best practices\n* Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)\n* Strong technical fundamentals in fluid mechanics, and structural analysis\n* Working knowledge of fabrication, integration processes, and quality control techniques relative to tubes, machined components, and welded hardware\n* Basic stress analysis and sizing of the components.\n* Experience with life safety design/requirements/certifications.\n* Experience in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.\n* Desire to work hands-on, both independently and as a team, throughout the development and production phases of the product lifecycle.\n* Strong coordination and project management skills to track, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.\n* Strong digital literacy with the ability to rapidly learn and use an assortment of software tools.\n* Interpersonal skills that foster positive professional relationships in cross-disciplined teams.\n* Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.\n* Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n* Proven understanding of materials properties and treatments; preference for aerospace materials.\n* Experience with aerospace high voltage systems.\n* Hands-on experience building and testing mechanical assemblies or pressurized components/systems.\n* Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems/Software and processes.\n* Experience developing/starting new manufacturing processes.\n* Proficiency in business and engineering software (i.e. MSOffice, Windchill, PLM, etc).\n* Experience with engineering change orders and non-conformance processing.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design and Testing jobs that are similar:\n\n $50,000 — $92,500/year\n
