You will report to the Manager, Body System Assembly at Production Planning.\n\nBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:\n\n\n* Your goal is to improve the product, design the vehicles according to the needs of manufacturing and to enable stable and ergonomic processes that are feasible for high volume manufacturing.\n\n* Identify, decide and implement technical requirements from manufacturing to influence product design.\n\n* Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production control, and engineering to provide product design and product concepts according to the needs of General Assembly.\n\n* Use CAD-Data-Analysis, Simulations and virtual tests to identify risks for high volume manufacturing.\n\n* Identify and implement ideas to improve product design to ensure stable processes and minimal rework in series production.\n\n* Ensure that all products are designed to meet assembly requirements and that product design is feasible for high volume manufacturing.\n\n* Take responsibility for all communication between production planning assembly and engineering department as Single point of contact for all vehicle design related topics.\n\n* Use cross departmental collaboration to meet and exceed company goals and objectives in the field of design for manufacturing.\n\n* Coordinating activities within the team that outline and achieve project goals.\n\n* Providing instruction and guidance about required techniques and regulations.\n\n\n\n\nLocation & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events.
