The Role
We're looking for a senior backend engineer with strong software and cloud engineering skills. You'll help us build highly scalable developer-centric APIs and backend systems powered by state-of-the-art ML models. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Build new API features and endpoints
Build automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines
Build highly scalable event-driven and realtime systems
Instrument systems with metrics, tracing, and logging
Refactor applications to eliminate tech debt
Troubleshoot production issues

Requirements
6+ years of professional experience building backend applications using any popular language such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, Go, C/C++
4+ years of experience working with Python
4+ working with Python backend frameworks like Django, Flask, or Tornado
3+ years of working with SQL and NoSQL databases
3+ years of production support experience
3+ years working with common AWS services
2+ years developing REST APIs
Experience migrating systems to meet increasing traffic/scale
Startup or FAANG-type experience - Has worked at a startup or high growth company
Deep AWS knowledge - Has many years of experience solutioning within AWS
Strong Python coding abilities - Can pass difficult programming challenges in a relatively short period of time. Can speak clearly about their thinking throughout these challenges. Can speak to O-notation of algorithms. Has excellent knowledge of common python idioms and libraries.
High scalability experience - Has been a tech leader on scaling systems to hundreds of millions of requests/events per day. Has experience with hyper-observability, scaling algorithms, and using production data to drive system changes

The Role
AssemblyAI is growing quickly, and we’re searching for a seasoned technical account manager who will play a key role expanding and building relationships within our strategic accounts. This role will build a solid Account Management foundation, then help build and scale a World-Class team to support our rapid growth. With significant investment and strong leadership, it’s the perfect time to join the AssemblyAI team.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
Serve as the primary point-of-contact for our customers post-sale. You will host regular customer meetings with key accounts (QBRs, office hours, etc.) and manage the full customer life-cycle post-sale. You will combine customer feedback with AssemblyAI’s go-to-market strategy to make strategic recommendations on product prioritization in both the short and long term.
Ensure customer success & identify upsell opportunities within strategic enterprise accounts. You will Identify blockers and issues that prevent customers from integrating, deploying, ramping up, or otherwise being successful with AssemblyAI in their product. You will identify key accounts for upsell and expansion opportunities, as well as Identify at-risk accounts to come up with initiatives and strategies to prevent churn.
Setup better processes and procedures for monitoring and managing customer success and health. You will help develop account management processes tailored toward our enterprise customers, including demos, collateral, videos and other content to ensure new customer implementations happen speedily and successfully.
Requirements
3+ years of account management experience in developer tools and/or technical products for developers (for eg APIs)
Experience working at a fast growing Developer Tools and/or SaaS startup
Experience building and scaling an Account Management team, from hiring/onboarding to building the process/tooling required
Experience working, and establishing relationships, with key stakeholders within enterprise accounts in engineering, product, and AI (e.g. CTO, CPO, etc.)
A strong command of how to leverage a flexible API-driven platform to achieve a differentiated partner product; ability to build trust with a developer audience
Experience expanding and building new relationships with senior line of business owners and executive stakeholders to understand and uncover new opportunities
Skills

This is a hands-on role, applying the latest technology in natural language processing and machine learning (including deep learning) to real-world problems in capital markets, institutional research, financial news, and social media. Machines are playing an ever-increasing role in finance and we're leading that trend.\n\n\nMust-haves:\n\n* Possess a rock-solid background in Computer Science (minimum BS in Comp Sci or related field) + at least 5 years (ideally 10+) of challenging work experience.\n\n* Rigorous understanding of data science foundations and theory including algorithms, statistics, experimental setup, etc.\n\n* Experience applying NLP and/or machine learning to large-scale datasets, especially text.\n\n* Experience with large-scale analytics and machine learning technologies including TensorFlow/Sonnet, Torch, Caffe, Spark, Hadoop, cuDNN, etc.\n\n* Advanced proficiency working in Java in Linux environments.\n\n* Significant operational experience with deploying, monitoring, and maintaining large-scale A.I. applications in production environments.
