The ideal candidate will be able to help support the team in development work by unifying multiple data sources and evolving our process to create and maintain reporting and analytical tools. The Senior BI Engineer will be responsible for interacting with internal and external stakeholders to develop products and services focused on data automation. They will ingest data in our database from multiple sources using API calls and ETL tools, manipulate data for reporting using SQL to consolidate dimensions and metrics across tables, link the SQL view to a variety of visualization tools, and customize the reports to meet the customers’ needs. Additionally, the Senior BI Engineer role will require work with Javascript to automate anomaly detection.Additionally, they will be able to act as a subject matter expert and be a partner to our internal teams.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\n\n\n* Work with the internal teams, external partners, and the client to assess automation needs\n\n* Build tools that expand upon automation via DEPT’s existing systems\n\n* Take lead on projects and contribute to the evolution of processes by working with the team as well as independently with the goal of driving efficiency\n\n* Manage creation, implementation, validation and ongoing support of data visualization tools and recurring reports\n\n* Serve the client as an expert on data visualization best practices\n\n* Grow credibility with internal and external stakeholders by exceeding expectations and delivering valuable products and services\n\n* Develop and refine best practices and documentation around onboarding and usability\n\n* Contribute to the company's knowledge base by creating and sharing case studies and POVs\n\n* Develop logic to create an alert system for anomaly detection using Javascript\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU'LL BRING\n\n\n* Expertise with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Sheets, Data Studio, required\n\n* Advanced experience developing custom SQL\n\n* Experience with MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure or other data extraction, transformation and storage tools preferred\n\n* Knowledge of collecting and storing data using data transfer tools such as SSIS or Matillion, and experience with Secured Storage (sFTP, S3, etc.)\n\n* Requires excellent organizational, written, and communication skills\n\n* Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion within established deadlines\n\n* The ability and strong desire to innovate with strong problem solving, technical, and communication skills\n\n* 2-3 years of relevant work experience\n\n\n\n\nWHAT DO WE OFFER?\n\nWe are a collaborative, open-door, best-idea-wins environment that fosters personal and company growth and has fun doing it. About The Opportunity
The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). The Principal Service Consultant works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project and identify critical dependencies. Project responsibilities include; facilitation of customer requirements gathering, design of the Ceridian solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance and design/configuration oversight to other project resources, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager.

Provide Implementation Services to customers:
Support the project team in the validation of customer's business requirements and mapping to Ceridian functionality
Design and document innovative solutions to solve customers’ business needs
Guide the configuration of the Ceridian application to meet customer’s business requirements
Act as subject matter expert (SME) on strategic implementations
Lead internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables
Contribute to Internal Implementation Initiatives:
Design and document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository
Document best practices and share with the Practice
Lead the subject matter expert (SME) program in at least one area of expertise (Payroll, Benefits, WFM)
Regularly participate in internal process improvement initiatives
Focus on Continuing Education:
Contribute to internal knowledge share; review questions and provide feedback on a continuous basis
Participate in Continuing Education sessions, lead Implementation best practice sessions
Complete new release training on a timely basis; be fully versed on new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release
Mentor consultants on best practice implementation of new product features and functionality, including new customer end to end implementations
Support the sales cycle through solution review and feedback and assistance with scoping and estimation
Participate in prospect discussions regarding solution overview and implementation considerations

Ability to effectively implement all Ceridian HCM modules

Deep understanding of different industries and how Ceridian implement best practices apply to the customer’s business practices
Deep Ceridian product knowledge in at least two Ceridian HCM modules (Payroll, WSS, T&A, Leave etc.), as demonstrated through multiple implementations
