About The Opportunity
The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). The Principal Service Consultant works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project and identify critical dependencies. Project responsibilities include; facilitation of customer requirements gathering, design of the Ceridian solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance and design/configuration oversight to other project resources, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager.

Complete new release training on a timely basis; be fully versed on new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release
Mentor consultants on best practice implementation of new product features and functionality, including new customer end to end implementations

The ideal candidate is extremely comfortable in working, designing, implementing and debugging complex Ruby and JavaScript SDKs, communicating very effectively with Senior Engineers and able to understand and design code for a high-scale, low-latency cloud infrastructure. \n\nCurrently, we have three months of full-time work and ongoing part-time work.\n\nOUR TECH STACK\n\n\n* React, Webpack, Sass\n\n* Python, Node.js\n\n* MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, Memcache\n\n* Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Consul, CircleCI, Rollbar\n\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\n\n* Code and maintain our open source libraries (“SDK's”)\n\n* Help define the common specification that all libraries should adhere to, and work to implement that spec in each SDK\n\n* Work with the Lead SDK Engineer and Rollbar Core Team to implement new features in the SDK's and relay feedback\n\n* Have fun while releasing software used directly by thousands and indirectly by millions\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU BRING\n\n\n* A Ruby & Javascript expert\n\n* A tinkerer: you develop a deep understanding of the things you work with, and you find ways to make them better\n\n* Experienced with API design\n\n* Always improving and welcoming feedback\n\n* Proud of the products you build and the impact they have for our customers\n\n\n\n\nBONUS IF YOU HAVE\n\n\n* Open source experience - experience as a maintainer/core contributor of open source projects\n\n* Experience with Rollbar in your personal or professional projects\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
