\nSummary:\nThe Sr. Software Engineer/Tech Lead has sound comprehension of the technology stack and associated business domain. He/she mentors the technology team, formulates implementation guidelines, provides technology direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. You will be completely hands-on and ensure that all engineering components are well understood by the team and stories/tickets are implemented optimally. streams and/or act as a team lead and manage multiple streams and complex components of the work plan/project.\n* Provide solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.\n* Participate in technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps.\n* Participate in configuring the infrastructure architecture and advise engineering teams on its efficient use.\n\n\n* Work as part of an agile development team to build and support highly scalable back and front-end software systems.\n* Work with team in recommending new technologies to ensure innovation, quality, consistently to solve common problems.\n* Conduct functional and non-functional testing.\n* Troubleshoot and debug applications.\n* Deploy applications across all environments in collaboration with Engineering team, DevOps, and Technical Product Management.\n* Champion code quality including unit and integration testing.\n* Evaluate existing applications to refactor, update and add new features, develop any technical documentation needed to represent accurately application design and code.\n* Identify and pursue opportunities to improve own knowledge and skills and those of more junior engineers.\n* Help to shape the vision for the products, considering impacts, dependencies, and opportunities to collaborate with other teams and groups.\n* Identify opportunities to develop new and better solutions.\n* Anticipate and address technical obstacles affecting team and related teams.\n* Provide guidance for technical design and architecture decisions within the team.\n* Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies.\n* Participate in the product development cycle to include requirements and design reviews conducted by developers and review their contract deliverables.\n* Establish, promote, and coach Engineering teams on technical best practices.\n* Successfully mentor other people and teams on technologies, techniques, or standards across the organization.\n* This position is Remote/Telecommute. \n\n\nRequirements:\n* Must have a minimum of 8+ years of professional software engineering experience and a Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent degree.\n* 2+ years of experience in serverless microservices technologies\n* 5 + years of experience in using frameworks like Spring, Spring boot, etc.\n* Knowledge of performance tuning data intensive applications.\n* Expertise in performance profiling, ability to identify performance improvements and memory optimizations.\n* Strong hands-on experience with cloud technologies and distributed architecture.\n* Experience with modern frameworks and technologies inclusive of Microservices development experience.\n* Must have strong API development experience.\n* Strong debugging, problem solving, and investigative skills.\n* Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages, etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.\n* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.\n* Experienced in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.\n* Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.\n* Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.\n\n\n* Good communications skills and the ability to communicate clearly with peers, customers, and Leadership.\n* Motivated, autonomous, and responsible with a history of shaping and establishing technical vision and architecture within successful companies.\n* A self-starter that likes taking on challenges and being a leader with engineering solutions.\n* Candidate that collaborates well and likes to work toward consensus within each team.\n* Has a solid engineering/development background.\n* Ability to assist in evaluation of software specification, interface specifications, and technical standards to meet business requirements and hardware/software compatibility.\n* A creator and a builder who embraces ambitious ideas, creates alignment around plans, and then moves into efficient execution.\n* A mentor, leader, and culture-builder. We solve unique scalability challenges and you will have the ability to help guide all aspects of Engineering and Product Development. \n\nSome of the meaningful work you will perform:\n\n\n* PHP/Python: You will need to have strong object-oriented design and development skills and advanced knowledge of PHP, Python or similar programming languages. Knowledge and experience with third party libraries, frameworks, and technologies is a plus. \n\n\n* Database: You will need to have strong SQL composition skills. Knowledge of big data and NoSql databases is a plus! We not only write software that collects and queries data, but we also compose queries for investigation and analysis. We collect a lot of data in real time from our applications and being able to compose ad hoc queries is necessary to develop and support our products. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n* Guidance: Participate in and guide engineer teams on all things technical – Architecture definition & Design ownership that not only include technology but Data Security aspects, Deployment & Cloud strategy, CI/CD, as well as coding best practices. \n\n\n* Analysis & Problem Solving: You will need to understand our codebase and systems and the business requirements they implement so you can effectively make changes to our applications and investigate issues. \n\n\n* Communication: Whether via face-to-face discussion, phone, email, chat, white-boarding, or other collaboration platforms, you must be an effective communicator who can inform, explain, enable, teach, persuade, coordinate, etc. \n\n\n* Team Collaboration: You must be able to effectively collaborate and share ownership of your team’s codebase and applications. You must be willing to fully engage in team efforts, speak up for what you think are the best solutions, and be able to converse respectfully and compromise when necessary. \n\n\n* Knowledge and Experience: A well-rounded software engineer will have broad and/or deep knowledge of various topics, tools, frameworks, and methodologies related to software engineering. None are required, but the more you can bring, the better.
