\nAt Elastic, we have a simple goal: to solve the world's data problems with products that delight and inspire. As the company behind the popular open source projects — Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats — we help people around the world do great things with their data. From stock quotes to Twitter streams, Apache logs to WordPress blogs, our products are extending what's possible with data, delivering on the promise that good things come from connecting the dots. Diversity drives our vibe. We unite employees across 30+ countries into one coherent team, while the broader community spans across over 100 countries.\n\nAbout The Role\n\nYou will act as a hands-on technical lead and architect of the Kibana Platform team which is responsible for the architecture, tech stack, and plugin system in Kibana. This team lays the groundwork for other teams to build end-user applications and features. You will work on many key projects and initiatives, partnering closely across all Elastic teams. You will be driving the roadmap of platform team, reinforcing the quality of work, managing the technical debt, running the sync meeting, and tracking the project progress.\n\nDo you love thinking about which type of sorting algorithms would be ideal for sequencing the execution order of node modules based on their dependency graphs? Do questions about which CSRF vectors exist that are not protected by CORS keep you up at night? Do you find yourself mulling over if ECMAScript module are imports idempotent?\n\nThis could be your dream job!\n\nEngineering Philosophy\n\nEngineering a highly complex distributed system that is easy to operate via elegantly designed APIs is a non-trivial effort. It requires solid software development skills, and more importantly, a sharp mind and the ability to think like a user. We also care deeply about giving you full ownership of what you’re working on. Our company fundamentally believes great minds achieve greatness when they are set free and are surrounded and challenged by their peers, which is clearly visible in our organization. At Elastic, we effectively don’t have a hierarchy to speak of. We feel that anyone needs to be in the position to comment on truly anything, regardless of his or her role within the company.\n\nSome of the things you'll work on\n\n\n* Roll out an identical architecture between server and browser that's based on composable modules throughout a 600k+ line project\n\n* Help define how developers build Kibana now and into the future\n\n* Architect a large JavaScript project designed to be actively developed for decades while embracing continuously-evolving modern web technologies\n\n* Build tooling for handling isolated sets of npm dependencies across discrete modules\n\n* Run a localization framework that is designed to scale with any number of rendering technologies\n\n* Write comprehensive tests, including unit tests, service-level, HTTP-level, UI component, and browser-level integration tests that provide confidence in the stability and function of Kibana without human scrutiny\n\n* Collaborate with other experienced developers both in Elastic and our open source community, including code and technical design reviews\n\n* Actively lead the Kibana platform team roadmap\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* Previous architect or technical lead experience on large projects with high level of autonomy\n\n* Strong hands on JavaScript programming skills\n\n* Understanding of many legacy and modern JavaScript frameworks\n\n* Familiar with build tools such as webpack and grunt\n\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a great teammate with strong analytical, problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills\n\n\n\n\nNice to have\n\n\n* Experience with a statically typed language (e.g. TypeScript, Flow, Go, Java, etc)\n\n* Experience using or managing the Elastic Stack and Kibana\n\n* Record of inheriting existing medium-to-large scale projects\n\n* Have worked on software that is distributed as installable artifacts (not a SaaS)\n\n* Have worked on software with a plugin system\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\n* Deeply competitive pay and benefits\n\n* Stock options\n\n* Catered lunches, snacks, and beverages in most offices\n\n* An environment in which you can balance great work with a great life\n\n* Passionate people building phenomenal products\n\n\n\n\n\nElastic is an Equal Employment employer committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action for all applicants and employees. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, or disability status or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law, ordinance or regulation. Elastic also makes reasonable accommodations for disabled employees consistent with applicable law. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

\nWe're looking for a talented software engineer to join us in developing our personal finance app - MoneyHub. We help users plan and manage their finances with spending analysis, budgeting, investment tracking and “what if” scenarios.\n\nYour work on this tool will directly help thousands (perhaps millions) of consumers get on top of their finances and make better informed financial decisions.\n\nWe are a full stack JS environment - you will be working with Node.JS and React. We have solid test coverage across all of our modules - including a reliable BDD UI test suite. Experience with Node.JS is a plus, but not a requirement. We’re rather looking for software engineers who are passionate about building secure and reliable services through cleanly architected and well tested code.\n\nThis is a great opportunity to grow your skillset using the latest technologies. We use JavaScript throughout our stack: Node.JS & MongoDB on the server communicating via JSON with our Flux-React based client-side apps. We use Apache Cordova to distribute our app on iOS devices.\n\nWe’re a 50 person start-up who are now part of a large Insurance firm. We're about collaboration and openness not command-and-control. We're fast moving and aim to iterate and ship fast.\n\nOpen Source: Our whole stack is based on open source software. We've contributed to open source frameworks and plan to to open source the reusable components from our application.\n\nStart Date: As soon as possible\n\nLocation: Centre of Bristol\n\nSalary: Excellent - dependent on experience \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

\nAs a senior engineer, you'll be developing one of the largest Mobile-Web publishing platforms, which enables publishers to create rich, engaging user-experiences for touch-based devices. Our platform has seen hundreds of millions of visits, and can dramatically increase revenue for publishers by improving user engagement and page views through the combination of dynamic, fluid user-experiences optimized for mobile/tablet devices and improved relevance and context, powered by platform-driven data analysis and learning.\n\nYou will be playing an active role on both the front-end and back-end of the Onswipe Platform. Help us build a massively scalable, realtime data-mining, analytics, and reporting infrastructure for ingesting, analyzing, and visualizing critical data points across publishers and advertisers. You will help develop our real-time crawler and rule-processing system, powered by Apache Storm and Scala, which mines billions of data points across millions of publisher pages. \n\nYou should be excited to run massively-concurrent code across thousands of nodes, maximize the efficiency of your reduce phases, and dissect data on the fly with cutting-edge tools. You should enjoy diagraming new solutions on a whiteboard with other engineers, and then executing and releasing through an agile development process. We use tools such as Hadoop, DynamoDB, Redshift, Kafka, Hive, and Storm to scale our data-mining and classification infrastructure across hundreds of nodes, running in AWS. \n\nOn the front-end, you will help build our Javascript-powered Mobile-Web client, which offers a rich dynamic layout system and configurable components. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
