Working in close collaboration with other animators, and under the guidance of the Lead Animator, you will help us breathe life into the world of BioShock. Your primary responsibility will be the creation of exemplary animations. Most importantly, you are able to evangelize the artistic vision of the game and push the technical boundaries of what is possible.   \nJob Details:\nYou have experience working within cross-discipline strike teams on collaborative assignments. You are someone who sets an example for a positive collaborative process. You are self-motivated, have great communication skills, and possess a great team-player attitude! As a key member of our artistic team, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning artwork and animations that bring our games and characters to life. Ideally, you will be highly proficient in 2D art techniques and animation principles, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for gaming.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n\n\n* Create high-quality 2D artwork and animations for characters, environments, and special effects\n\n* Collaborate closely with the executive producer, lead artist, game designers, and other team members to ensure artistic vision and gameplay goals are met\n\n* Iterate on designs based on feedback and playtesting to achieve the desired visual style and gameplay experience\n\n* Maintain consistency in art style and quality throughout the development process\n\n* Provide exceptional visual quality on projects to create a fun and engaging experience\n\n* Identification and assistance in the creation of documentation in projects\n\n* Create storyboards to visualize scenes and create a realistic environment for games and other visual effects\n\n* Follow art direction and client briefs, understand 2D asset and animation pipelines and processes.\n\n* Implement feedback from Lead/Senior Artists and/or clients\n\n\n\n\nSKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: \n\n\n* 5+ Years in video game production with multiple shipped titles in an artist role\n\n* Knowledge of additional art-related software or tools\n\n* Experience with creating assets for various screen resolutions and aspect ratios\n\n* Significant working knowledge of Unity - Essential \n\n* A strong portfolio of previous work and completed projects\n\n* Excellent creativity and artistic skills and a strong technical understanding of current asset workflows, shaders, and engine capabilities\n\n* An eye for composition and an ability to match any style, texture, colour, and lighting.\n\n* A strong understanding of shape language and balance.\n\n* Good knowledge of shader/material, asset and animation development tools for Unity \n\n* Adaptable and able to multitask and prioritise work based on changing schedules and feedback/critiques\n\n* Attention to detail and the ability to work independently to get the job done without day-to-day direction\n\n* Previous Game Design experience with preschool or early childhood education would be highly desirable\n\n\n\n\nTHE PERKS! \n\nYou'll have access to our ‘Benefits’ offering.
