\nWe are seeking a mid-level full stack open source developer to join our development team. You must willing to learn fast and hit the ground running in an existing codebase. As the ideal candidate, you should be comfortable with front-end development, looking to gain more experience in backend development (we use PHP), be aware of things like systems, servers, databases, and test coverage, be an extremely clear communicator, and be self motivated individual able to work between periods of light and heavy guidance on your work from your team. A healthy knowledge of memes and emoji goes a long way too...\n\nPlease, please mention test cases in your cover letter/response if you want us to take your application seriously. You don't have to be a pro with test coverage (though that's nice), but we have to know you read this and really want to be considered for this opening! We have multiple job postings right now and we're getting a lot of people applying to all 3. It's hard for us to those seriously given the mid to senior range and Shopify experience we're looking for in another posting.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* Rapidly design and develop application functionality to satisfy various business needs\n\n* Write clean, readable code and tests.\n\n* Develop and grow your coding skills as you work, in line with best practices and security standards\n\n* Participate in peer code review.\n\n* Communicate clearly with your fellow developers and business stakeholders.\n\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* 3+ years of software development experience (in PHP preferred. A combination of PHP and other comparable server side languages for at least 5 years will be considered.\n\n* Solid grasp of front-end of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Angular etc\n\n* Awareness of relational databases (we use MySql), version control tools including GIT, and working with common third-party APIs\n\n* Familiarity and comfort with agile process and sprints\n\n* Open and enthusiastic to learning and exploring new technologies (and respectful of the elder technologies)\n\n* Excellent English (verbal and written).\n\n\n\n\nNice to Haves:\n\n\n* More server-side coding experience (PHP preferred, but Java/Perl/.Net/Ruby are all nice too!)\n\n* Experience with servers and databases\n\n* Familiarity with AWS services\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
