Most of our products are sold through our popular ecommerce websites — SafetySign.com, PipeMarker.com, and WaferSeals.com — which have contributed greatly to the strong growth we’ve been enjoying for many years.\n\nAbout the Position\n\nBrimar is searching for an experienced full-stack developer with a proven track record of planning, developing, and deploying large, complex web applications. The successful candidate will work with other front-end developers, back-end developers, web designers, and other departments to gather requirements for the large project assigned. You will have full responsibility for translating these requirements into actionable database schemas and UML diagrams. You will also be fully responsibility for executing those plans using ES6, PHP, Sass, Handlebars, and MySQL. You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer for code reviews and progress reports.\n\nWe’re a small team, but we think you be surprised when you see the types of projects we are looking to work on. We have a philosophy of in-house expertise rather than heavy reliance on “off the shelf” frameworks or dependencies.\n\nAbout You\n\nYou have 10+ years of experience building sophisticated applications, while adhering to requirements and meeting deadlines. You are an organized person, capable of finding the patterns and abstractions within complex requirements. You take ownership of the projects assigned to you and are proud of your work, with an ability to work independently and efficiently. You are a strong communicator who enjoys defending your solutions to a team that is passionate about clean, well-structured, object-oriented code. Most importantly, you don’t just program not just because it pays the bills, but because you find it fun.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\n\n* Gather requirements from other front-end developers, back-end developers, web designers, and other departments.\n\n* Translate requirements to database schemas and UML diagrams.\n\n* Share your ideas with the rest of the programming team.\n\n* Define and adhere to a calendar of milestones and deliverables.\n\n* Develop a large web application from scratch using ES6, PHP, Sass, Handlebars, and MySQL.\n\n* Present your ideas and code to the rest of the team, and use the discussions that arise from those presentations to inform your approach to the final form of the application and its code.\n\n\n\n\nWhat You Need to Know\n\n\n* ES6/7: Expert-level understanding of modern, class-based, JavaScript. Note that experience with React or Angular is not applicable to this project.\n\n* PHP: Expert-level understanding of object-oriented PHP in a custom-developed MVC framework.\n\n* Sass, Less, or CSS: Expert-level understanding of responsive, cross-browser styling for an application where visual fidelity is critical. Note that experience with Bootstrap is not applicable to this project.\n\n* Exceptional planning, organization, and documentation skills.\n\n* Excellent communication skills.\n\n* Project management experience with a proven track record of completing projects on time and to scope.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
