You will bring skills in full stack development, have a deep knowledge of object-oriented software engineering, experience in Java or Python, enterprise software engineering concepts, patterns, models, practices, and processes.\n\nWith your help, we will collect and distribute digital performance royalties on behalf of more than 200,000 recording artists’ and master rights owners’ accounts and administer direct agreements on behalf of rights owners and licensees. We will also work together to build and enhance the additional services (particularly for music publishing) that SoundExchange provides to the entire music industry.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* Contributes as a hands-on engineer to a full lifecycle software development team including design, development, and deployment including automated and functional/behavior-driven testing\n\n* Develops new features in a highly collaborative environment\n\n* Follows and improve software development best practices to achieve a high level of quality, maintainability, and security\n\n* Works with team and stakeholders to create clean, maintainable technical solutions to complex business problems\n\n* Actively contributes to the team software design and development process by bringing new ideas and alternative ways of solving problems, contributing to design sessions, and improving quality of code through code reviews and other quality metrics\n\n* Leverages and enhances continuous build and deployment tools\n\n\n\n\nDesired Skills and Qualifications:\n\n\n* 4 years of experience as software engineer\n\n* 2 years of experience in a Senior Engineer role preferred\n\n* Proficiency with Java (8/11+) or Python\n\n* Proficient using many of the following: Spring/Spring Boot, Django, SQL, Hibernate/JPA, Git, Angular or Vues\n\n* Proficiency developing, deploying, and maintaining applications within AWS, specifically: S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Aurora, ECS/EC2, ElasticSearch, Fargate, IAM, RDS, Batch\n\n* Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code technologies\n\n* Experience building enterprise software with complex business rules, domain models, and data models\n\n* Proficiency at designing relational data models and working with relational databases\n\n* Proficiency in Agile software development methodology, processes, and practices\n\n* Experience designing and developing microservices or other distributed systems\n\n* Strong written and verbal communication skills\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

You can practically hear the Sarah McClachlan music and see the sad puppies.\n\nSomebody has to rescue the wine industry and that person will be you. You'll lead a brand new team to rebuild our wine industry technology from the ground up. In the process you'll help fuse our wine technology with our restaurant point-of-sale systems - because it turns out, a lot of wineries have restaurants. They're great for date nights.\n\nYou'll work with other teams in our restaurant software division to create a modular architecture that we can all share. It'll be microservice-ish, but not full blown because wine is a niche industry without the scale and team size of most microservice adopters. This process is already underway in the restaurant division and the tech stack is Spring Boot, Couchbase, Rabbit MQ, and Elastic Search with Angular 2 on the front end. You can live with that.\n\nYou'll lead a small team of engineers as they modernize the old ColdFusion tech stack. You'll be expected to be a hands on coder, particularly on the back end, leading by example. You'll deal with a minimum of corporate nonsense and get the freedom to do things right.\n\nAnd you'll do all this from the comfort of your own home.
