A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer & Information Science or equivalent from an accredited college or university is a minimum requirement.\n\nDuties:\n\n\n* Design, develop and modify software objects and procedures based on functional and system specifications. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.\n\n* Develop new user-facing features; ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.\n\n* Work closely with the development team and product managers for understanding the specifications. Develop schema to meet specifications, and execute.\n\n* Ensure architectural integrity and product quality. Participate in the testing process, including cross-browser testing; debug code quickly and efficiently.\n\n* Adhere to Ei3’s established processes and tools.\n\n* Participate and contribute to development team project meetings and scrums.\n\n* Contribute ideas for process improvement, including coding practices, standards and tools.\n\n* All other duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n\n Required Skills:\n\n\n* Proficient with Java, Java Server Pages (JSP), HTML, CSS, and Javascript.\n\n* Experience with Eclipse IDE, JQuery, AJAX, and SQL.\n\n* Additional experience with Angular.js or Hibernate would be considered a plus.\n\n* Proficient working with Windows and Linux operating systems\n\n* Fluent in English reading, writing and speaking.\n\n\n\n\nPersonal Attributes and Additional Information:\n\n\n* Experience working both independently and in a collaborative team environment is essential.\n\n* Analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving capabilities essential.\n\n* Salary offered commensurate with experience.\n\n* Some international travel may be required, particularly to our main office in NY, USA after the pandemic.\n\n* Able to work at least 40 hours per week at home during the pandemic and at our office in Montreal, Québec after the pandemic.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

\nJob Summary\n\nAs a Developer you’ll work closely with the rest of the web platform team to ensure delivery of scalable, well structured, efficient web applications and components, working on both green-field projects built from the ground up using the latest libraries and best practice as well maintaining and improving existing code.\n\nDepartment Summary\n\nThe web platform team work in collaboration with engineering and operations to maintain and develop Futures core brand websites. Ensuring the sites are fast, at the forefront of technical innovation, are bug free and have great UX.\n\nKey role responsibilities\n\nUnder the supervision of Senior Developers and Tech Leads you will ensure this code is well scoped, monitored, documented, and testable.\n\nYou will also be responsible for tracing bugs across the stack and ensuring that suitable tests are set up to avoid future regressions.\nYou will work with the rest of the team to review both your code and other developers before it goes through a final QA process and into production.\nYou will be able to communicate effectively with the wider business and be able to critically assess product requirements and solutions.\nYour job will cover both client and server-side code working with datastores and server configuration.
