We are currently seeking a talented Sr. Front-end Engineer to join our world-class team of developers assigned to work on various project teams at our Enterprise client. This role will be responsible for contributing to the development, and implementation of front-end solutions for our client. In addition to contributing code and tangible deliverables the role is expected to work as an adviser to help identify, educate, and foster best-in-class solutions. The role requires the applicant to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and team members. Creating these relationships requires strong communication skills and some travel to the office.\n\nAs a Railroad19 employee, you will be part of a company that values your work and gives you the tools you need to succeed. Railroad19 provides competitive compensation and excellent benefits~ Medical/Dental/Vision vacation and 401K.\n\nCore Responsibilities\n\n\n* Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide expertise as well as customer service to meet a wide variety of requirements\n\n* Quickly provide insight and options to front-end challenges\n\n* Collaborate with Product Managers and business teams to create consumer-like, elegant, intuitive experience for enterprise users\n\n* Contribute both technically and in an advisory role to projects\n\n* Develop and manage extensible, stable code bases for a variety of applications\n\n* Provide front-end architecture and esthetic thought leadership\n\n* Stay current with the fast changing landscape of browser based application development\n\n* Evaluate frameworks, technology, platforms and tooling solutions\n\n* Support and troubleshoot issues (process & system), identify root cause, and proactively implement sustainable corrective actions\n\n\n\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, (or equivalent relevant work experience)\n\n* Strong understanding of the DOM, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript\n\n* Significant experience with Angular 2+\n\n* 3+ years of experience with additional web libraries and frameworks. Preferred: jQuery, Bootstrap, Underscore\n\n* Experience with preprocessors and front-end tooling workflows: Node.js (NPM), SASS, Grunt/Gulp, Web Pack, etc.\n\n* Strong understanding of debugging for the browser\n\n* Experience testing JavaScript code — Jasmine and Protractor preferred, but not required\n\n* Experience with Responsive Web Design (RWD) patterns\n\n* Ability to create non-functional wireframes rapidly in a vector tool of choice (Illustrator, Sketch, etc…)\n\n* Proven ability to create working prototypes (proof of concepts) at varying degrees of fidelity using HTML, CSS and JavaScript\n\n* Experience with immutable.js and/or unidirectional data flow patterns (i.e. Redux)\n\n* Experience with RxJS or other Reactive programming techniques/libraries\n\n* Experience using ES2015 (ES6) and TypeScript\n\n* FullStack awareness, but this role is front-end based\n\n* Experience rendering and working with large data payloads \n\n* Experience with data integration; understanding/experience with RESTful API design\n\n* Working in an Agile environment\n\n* Strong team-building, vendor and customer relations skills\n\n* GIT and GitHub\n\n* Strong communication skills (wireframes, rapid prototypes, PoC’s, white boarding)\n\n* Experience maintaining and extending a style guide for scalability and cross application usage\n\n\n\n\nNice to Have, but not Required\n\n\n* Web workers experience\n\n* Service workers experience\n\n* Angular 4/5 experience\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
