The Group provides a wide range of business support services to different sectors, but they all have a common factor of helping to improve productivity for our customers.\n\nYou will work with Unipartโs Digital Enterprise System (UDES) Team to develop functionality and features in Python, and bring your experience of one or more framework (such as Flask, Django, Odoo, Twisted). \n\n**THE PLATFORM**\n\nUDES is an open source system with the aim of offering full support for all business processes within an enterprise-level organisation. The current focus is on warehouse management, but our goal is to cover the full suite of ERP applications (such as HR, CRM, finance and accounting).\n\nThe current work of the team is implementing a number of warehouse management systems (WMS). Or equivalent experience working in development. \n* Fully adopt agile working methods \n* Strong experience working with APIs \n* Used to daily commits and releases \n* Build automated tests first, not just as an after thought \n* Full understanding of design patterns \n* Open source contributor \n* High degree of business insight \n* Track record of making robust decisions and being responsible for the outcomes \n* Flexibility to travel during deployments\n\n**KEY RELATIONSHIPS AND INTERFACES**\n\nItโs important to have a compassionate personality, and able to build relationships with our colleagues working in various warehouse operations.\n\nThe UDES Team [and product] is a pivotal part of Uniparts growth aspirations. \nAbout the team\n\nWe are working hard in our 2.0 version of the Semaphor messaging system and platform. The software stack for the backend is PostgreSQL and Go. We are looking to expand our team to help us develop the microservices behind Semaphor.\n\nWe are a small team comprised of talented polyglot developers that have chosen Go as their main tool for the past several years to bring Semaphor to life.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Implement already written specifications for distributed services in Go.\n\n* Design and specify new services. We have a lot of work already architected, but there's still a lot to go in the roadmap.\n\n* Iterate over our current codebase to improve it and fix bugs.\n\n* Take ownership of the tasks assigned, regardless of their scope. Working on bug fixes doesn't entail less ownership than writing a new service from scratch.\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* 2+ years experience in developing services in Go.\n\n* Familiarity with TDD.\n\n* Experience using Docker.\n\n\n\n\nNice to have\n\n\n* Familiarity with multiplatform development.
