Remote Senior Contract Manager

\nSenior Contracts Manager\n\nSumo Logic is looking for a highly motivated Senior Contracts Manager to join its Legal team and report to our Director of Legal Affairs. This role focuses on negotiating and closing a variety of commercial transactions, including our customer and partner arrangements, and designing and implementing new commercial legal processes as we scale our business.\n\nAn adaptable individual who enjoys variety, collaborative conversations proposing concrete business solutions, synthesizing information from various teams, and building out infrastructure will thrive in our Legal team.\nWeโ€™re looking for someone with a business focus and strong problem-solving skills, who can manage multiple, high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment. If you are looking for the opportunity to make a significant\nimpact, and have a passion for sophisticated technology transactions and closing deals, this role provides a great opportunity to apply your skills and experience to help take your career and Sumo Logic to the next level.\n\nThis is a remote role and we are looking to hire in the Eastern US time zone.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n*  Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial transactions, including SaaS customer agreements,\ndistribution/reseller agreements, professional services agreements, NDAs, DPAs, BAAs, vendor\nagreements, and other related agreements.\n\n*  Assist with developing and maintaining contracts-related processes and procedures to scale with companyโ€™s\ngrowth, such as developing and maintaining playbook, standard forms, etc.\n\n*  Partner with sales, sales operations, finance, security, customer success, and other functions to ensure\nefficient and effective legal support for commercial transactions.\n\n* Assist with other legal team initiatives.\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* Minimum of 8-12 years of hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating software license and SaaS\nagreements.\n\n* Experience in-house at a technology company is a MUST\n\n* Experience relating to cloud/SaaS specific issues, privacy, security strongly preferred.\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Qualifications:\n\n\n* Excellent drafting skills and ability to adapt legal requirements in balanced, creative and pragmatic ways,\nconsistent with company objectives, policies, and processes.\n\n* Excellent negotiator, able to effectively navigate issues externally and internally, including across\ndepartments, with strong interpersonal skills.\n\n* Able to successfully manage competing priorities and work independently on a wide range of issues and\nprojects, while delivering quality work.\n\n* Team player with strong business acumen and attention to detail and who recognizes that this role is about\ndoing as well as creating a scalable foundation.\n\n* Highly motivated self-starter, who excels in a fast-paced, time pressured and demanding environment.
